There was a really little guy in my gym today he said he was just visiting with a friend. this is the first time I've seen a REAL example of a powerlifter. This guy must have been about 5'4 or so, couldn't have weighed more than 140 or 150 pounds. Doing flat bench reps at 325 pounds, one armed pullups, all sorts of crazy shit.

He was maniacal too... the sort of guy you'd expect could show off by doing pushups and just not stopping.

Anybody else know a guy like this?

Yeah, sorta, he is about 5'4 or 5'5, looks to be about 190lbs, saw him doing front squats with 405. I don't remember how many reps he did, somewhere around 6. Haven't seen him workout out but once or twice, but he is strong as hell. I don't know about you, but front squats are hard as hell. He was going deep too. There are some pretty big guys at my gym, and they were surprised too.

Sounds like a guy in my gym. He's 53 years old, weighs 150 pounds, does skull crushers with 150+ pounds, reps out weighted dips with well over 100 pounds. Not just 5 reps, like 15 rep sets with that weight. He's absolutely shredded.

I hear you Hardcory, but remember the really short limbed lifters usually suck at pulls from the ground,as the torso has to bend over a lot further to get to the bar. Once you start to assess lifters on their mechanical advantages, it becomes easy to see what they will do well without ever having seen them lift.
