I have a high bodyfat% and want to get my abs to show through a little more. My question is: Should I do cardio while on a cycle of roids? I don't want to do a lot, just 40-60 min a week to keep the fat down? What do you guys(and gals) think? Also should I keep eating a lot or cut it back some?

It's easy - simply do 20 minutes, 3 days
a week- that's all I've ever done! Additionally I keep my protein intake high,
and cut back on complex carbohydrate portion
size. Believe it or not ECA stack works well, as does clen.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I should stop eating fast food (only a couple times a week)? But I had one of my buddys tell me "on roids, you can eat everything you want, the steroids will turn them into muscle" That shit can't be true, can it?
Also cardio after or before my workouts or on off days????

Depends what type of cycle you're doing. If you're bulking and don't care about ripped-ness then go ahead and eat anything you want. you'll definately gain weight. When I bulk i eat alot but stay away from saturated fats. for fast foos eat burgers. not the fries though...they just stick to ya. I do cardio 3 times a week for 20 mins no matter what i'm doing. its good for you. I usually do it after my workouts and sometimes on off days.

if ya wanna lose, even a little do some cardio, dont go overboard and it wont effect your gains in tissue... i like cardio after training due to the fact that your tapping into fat stores more by then...
as for bulking, arby's does it well... big montana's helped me bulk... alot... ya, i felt fat, but i am ok now.

I read a long time ago in some posts that doing cardio during a cycle of roids can cause inflamation of the heart. Is this true, or just a myth?

Do cardio that builds!

Sprints, Skipping Rope, Running Stairs/Bleachers, or Heavy Bag.

I am a big beliver in any type of high intensity cardio for a short period of time it the best way to get lean. A real quick analogy...

Look at olympic runners. Look at long distant runners and how thin and small they are. They aren't fat, but they aren't ripped or muscualr either. Now look at sprinters, look how shapely their bodies are, they are muscualr and ripped. Sprinters do a lot of cardio... but it is short in duration and very very intenes. I tell you, when I do sprints the girth of my legs increases quite a bit, my squats go up and my legs are SOLID. I do the same thing for the upperbody. You do 10, 3 min rounds on the heavy bag and bang... your shoulder feel like you just did behind the neck presses and you are sweating buckets. I do high intensity cardio all the time and do nothing but burn fat and get denisty in the applicable muscles. If you do sprints try this routine...

warmup with a light jog for a few min

6 sets of 20 yard sprints 30 sec rest
2 sets of 50 yard sprints 1 min rest
2 sets of 100 yard sprints 3 min rest

cool down with a lite jog for a couple of min. and moderate streching.

what you do for the first 6 sets, sprint for 20 yards then jog for 30 sec and interval them like that until you complet 6 sprints.

If this doesn't get you lean then you are eating too many KitKats...

If ya really want to kill the fat..try your cardio work first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This way the only thing your body is going to burn (well the majority of anyhow) is fat. A protein shake and some glutamine an hour before will work good for you also, as to jump start your metabolism.

Listen to what WCP says plus add your ECA stack before your cardio to really get ripped. Plus prolong your first meal untill about an hour after your cardio.

I was told not to do any sprinting while on roid because muscle can build faster than the tendons that bind them....putting a lot of stress on joint causing muscle tear... I would walk to keep your heart rate between 130 and 160 bpm for may 20-45 minutes three times a week...do as much as you want just atleast 20 minutes or you are kinda wasting your time

Without a doubt, muscle synthesis is accelerated on AS and tendons seem to have to play catch up. In fact I just read an article in one of the typical BB magazines (cant remember which one right now), dealing with this very topic. Apparently tendon and ligament repair/growth during AS cycles is actually impaired. What one needs to keep in mind, to avoid injury is to not use loads/intensities during a cycle too far away from what one was doing before. I AM NOT SAYING DONT LIFT HEAVY, BUT RATHER BE CAUTIOUS! If you have never done a dead lift partial, dont go attempt an 800# partial just because you feeling strong during your cycle. Furthermore, if you have never sprinted don't wait until half way through your cycle and then go run all-out. Of course you could do what I do and go to painstaking lengths to ensure your tendon/muscle strength ratio is sufficient before your cycle ie. triples, singles, partials, lockouts, etc.

Bump to all the elite animals!!!

To jonrocks suggestion,

I've had success with the Bill Phillips(?) routine for cardio where you do:

2 minutes of low intensity (JOG),
1 minute of high intensity (SPRINT),
2 minutes of low intensity (JOG)
1 minute of high intensity (SPRINT),
2 minutes of low intensity (JOG)
1 minute of high intensity (SPRINT),
2 minutes of low intensity (JOG)

AND WORK UP TO ABOUT 20 MINUTES.

keeps it interesting and (unverified) burns more calories
