This is a continuation of my earlier post. This summer I dieted down for my first show. Here I am pre-contest in late July (geez, i'm tiny!)...
I was about 150 lbs in these pictures. Then I got up to almost 170 lbs naturally between August and late January. Here I am at the beginning of my cycle in January...
Which brings us to the present! I'm about 179 lbs now.
My waist is obviously a bit bigger and I'm definitely a little fatter. But my arms and quads are visibly thicker. Plus I'm strong as hell (relative to previous benchmarks) Another shot is from the back. The lighting sucks, but if you look careful, you can see that there's a lot of definition between the traps, delts and upper lats. Obviously my left arm is lagging and i need to work on the width... but I'm getting there!
Misc Notes Also, I've had some lower back pain the past couple of workouts. I suspect this is because 1) I've been lazy about working my abs and 2) I've been pretty ambitious with my lifts because I've been feeling strong... my form may have suffered So, I'm going to take a day off this week, train abs a little more regularly (once or twice a week) and also cut back a little on the weight so that I can keep my form better. I said all that to communicate that the drugs haven't turned me into a super man or anything. You still have to train right, eat right and get enough rest. Libido Most days I'm not really in the mood. But, so far I haven't had any trouble getting in the mood when there's a naked woman involved--which is good. I wouldn't really recommend this cycle to guys that are older because it's got such a depressive effect on libido. At 23, I've got horniness to spare so it's not that big a deal for me. Okay, now I can say that I am impressed with your physique. I think you put on some great size recently, but your lats and traps seem to be lagging behind the rest of your upper body. I am saying this to be constructively critical and not to wantonly criticize you. Keep up the great work and keep us updated. very good man. now that you have decided test is the way to go that 250lbs is realistic...do it up bro train hard and dont be afraid of getting fat in the offseason...the easiest way to get huge...and eventually you dont need to worry about it i cant eat enough to get fat anymore.....so eat, train, sleep and juice. you are on your way bro. ------------------ 300lbs or death IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone for your comments! I'm definitely going to start incorporating weighted chins into my back workouts. What grip do you suggest? I'm not even sure that I can get more than 8 unweighted chins right now so this will definitely give me something to work towards. ------------------ IP: Logged |
