There's millions of posts on every board by newbies wanting to start gear. Some are ready, many are not. I have some opinions and here they are... Do not start using gear until you reach 200lbs and can't get much heavier, despite reasonable attempts. I believe anyone should be able to get to 200lbs natural. It might mean a drastic change of diet and training, but it can be done. Once you're there, you know what you need to know to get the most out of a cycle. Don't start until you're 21 and well-read. Don't take anyone's opinions on AS and physiology - there are no laws in bbuilding (except those set by the State) so whatever anyone says it's just an opinion. Use your own minds and THINK ABOUT IT. Keep it simple - if it's your first cycle you don't need a stack to take you to the Olympia - it will just be wasted dollars. Be sensible and just stack two. A good test and one more. Don't post asking everyone else if you should take gear or not - it's up to you, so inform yourself and use your heads (then your muscles). Just my opinions, I want everyone to agree/disagree. Personally, I only took AS once I thought I was close to my natural peak. I consdidered why I wanted to do them and decided it was because I loved that positive feeling of growth. I don't go to extreme lengths, mostly because I feel a lot of the doses being recommended these days are too high, and also because I intend to be doing this for a long time, so slow and steady! Thanks for reading my rant. IronMike IP: Logged |

I would like to comment on the example you used that involves a weight restriction. I know plenty of gentlemen that could not (for the life of them) get up to 200 pounds of lean body mass naturally. I understand your reasoning, but your statement may be too sweeping. Otherwise, your post makes sense. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

SOME BODYBUILDERS WITH THE POTENTIAL TO ENTER THE PRO RANKS ARE LOWER THAN 175LBS. SOME REGULAR PEOPLE ARE TALL AND WIDE ENOUGH TO HANDLE BEING 200 LBS. WEIGHT ALL BY ITSELF CANNOT QUALIFY A PERSON IT HELPS IF A PERSON HAS SOME MASS BUT IT IS NOT THE SOLE DETERMINANT. OTHERWISE, A REAL SKINNY PERSON WHICH GRADUALLY ADDS EXERCISES AND GAINS MASS CAN GO ON TO ATTAIN RESPECTABLE SIZE MEASURE BY THE AMOUNT OF MUSCLE BUILT. WITH EXERCISE AND PROPER EATING HABITS REST AND RECUPERATION, NOT TO MENTION A FEW CYCLES I DO AGREE WITH ALL THE OTHER OBSERVATIONS YOU HAVE MADE BUT I DIFFER ON THE WEIGHT GAIN. HELLUVA POST. I have to totally agree with 2 thick 200 lbs is an unattainable goal for many- especially those below 5'9. and for others they weighed that in high school before they started lifting. that is too arbitrary and insulting to some of the shorter guys and taller ectomorphs. but other wise I aggree with most of what you said- in principle ------------------ IP: Logged |
