I am going to the doctor thursday for my shoulder. At first it was a slight burn in it when I worked out. Now I hurt it some how not even touching a weight. It now hurts when I am not working out. I took off since last Tuesday. I am scared. I was just about to start my cycle too. Is there any prescription drugs that I could get that would help in the aid of my recovery? I assume it is either my rotator cuff or some ligaments. Please help, I can't stay out of the gym for too long or I will go fucking nuts!! IP: Logged |

BIGQUADZ! i screwed up my shoulder last spring. i tore my labrum 70%...hurt like a bitch just to lift my arm! I got 600mg of DAYPRO...it's an anti-inflammatory medicine. i also got NAPORSYN! same thing as the DAYPRO! it's all prescription. do not take these two things together! i did for 3 1/2 months so i could still throw a baseball, and all the while i was pissing out blood. these pills can really fuck up your kidneys! if you don't get a prescription, try glucosaphine-sulphate, or some shark cartillage! these two things also have worked for me. they help with joints and ligaments and such. they are also over-the-counter drugs! don't push it, and try some rehab before doing anything over your head....db shoulder press, bb bench, military press, and also delt raises. these excercises can really flame up your shoulder if everything in there isn't working right!! hope i helped! GET HUGE AND DROP BOMBS!!! IP: Logged |

ditto that I used a prescription anti inflamatory and did very light weights. i've become very careful with warming up for quite a bit when working shoulders. also use ice pack and heating pad every night to loosen area up. on another subject did you see mr laredo post to the fake redijects and the real ones being hid. sound familar? get the shoulder healed quickly and take care. billy IP: Logged |

two torn cuffs here (super spinatus), dont freak, no matter what you will be able to find a way to work around your injury and somehow stay in shape till your ready to go... fuck the shark cartiladge, its shit. more mystique behind it then anything... the glucosamine will work for cart. damage, but not ligaments or tendons... if you have some health food stores around go to an independant one and look for a product called ligatend. its made by country life... its your best bet... also, you might wanna check out a process called prolotherapy.... i havent had it, but its my next step.. ive heard wonders.. like stronger then other type shit, and its cheaper then a cycle. i dont think insurance will cover it, but then again, i dont know. rest is best right now. A buddy of mine complained to a doctor about pain in his shoulder from working out. After several visists the doctor prescrbied him a low dose AS. Maybe you can get lucky and have your doc prescribe you something "helpfull" IP: Logged |

Being in Orthopedics, I can tell you Shark Cartilage IS the best you can get, IF you have destroyed your cartilage. Have you had any past injuries to your shoulder? Also, if you work your chest and front of your shoulders without working the posterior delt (across the back of the shoulder) you will develop a massive strain in the joint. It will cause horrible pain in any kind of lifting arm movements. If you raise your arm and prop it up on something does it still hurt? Give some history and where it bothers you the most. Maybe then we can give you better insight. Good Luck! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Don't get cortizone shots !!! I did this for a year, really screwed mine up. I got it operated on, and now have a horrible scar right down the front of my delt. I wish now, I had taken an anti-inflammitory, and rested it. Don't overdue it....I know it sucks, but give it time. Ranger IP: Logged |

well if you just felt a problem you might have torn something. hopefully it is slight. you need to get on asprine or some other anti-inflammitore agent, go heavy on the glucosamin/chondroiten/shark cartalidge (take with vit c for absorbtion), but the best thing you can do is start doing rotator exercises NOW. learn a bunch of them and do them twice to 3x a week, and before every workout as a warm up. start warming up better. i get that problem from bench. anthony clark tought me to do reverse grip bench, which is much better on your rotator. when your feeling better give it a try. its hell to start but in a few months you can be almost up to your regular bench wt.
