Have any of you had any experience with any mitochondrial uncoupler besides 2,4 dinitrophenol? I know that Duchaine was using usnic acid in his new diet supplement. Has anyone ever heard about anacardic acid? I've been doing a little Medline research and came across some of these other uncouplers. I wonder why no one has used them in a diet supplement before? Perhaps the FDA put a ban on all uncouplers when they took the "I'm the new sheriff in town" approach upon their creation and started to outlaw anything that had a remote possibility of hurting people. Any info is appreciated. Later, IP: Logged |

im not expert, but read what t-mag.com said about usnic acid. they thought it was the most dangerous diet supplement to ever be made by far. considered its use potentially fatal, much worse than DNP from what i understand IP: Logged |

That article at t-mag is a sham. Bill Robert's hated Dan Duchaine and was trying to get the FDA to ban Duchaine's new product. Usnic acid is not, from my understanding, more dangerous than DNP but it is less effective. Does anyone have any experiance with any of these mitocondrial uncouplers? Later, Thanks for the reply though! IP: Logged |
