That topic is interesting macro...is there any other way to add this substance to a person's diet besides eating a seal? Would oral consumption of it even be beneficial or would it simply be broken down with no uptake? IP: Logged |

It is adipose tissue that is filled with mitochondria. These mitochondria largely lack ATP synthase but have integral uncoupling proteins. This uncoupling protein allows hydrogen ions to diffuse across inner membrane down the gradient. The net result is the release of energy as heat...which means the substance may be important in controlling body weight. IP: Logged |

the protein that has been isolated as the uncoupler asscoiated with brown fat is thermogenin- it should be available as a research chemical- I would assume that it would have to be taken IM or IV- I just dont know how delicate it is. There is some evidence that intake of omega 3's may increase brown fat or way work as weak uncouplers themselves ------------------ IP: Logged |

That is right. I forgot that you are in love with DNP. I think I have heard talk of this by the late D.D. IP: Logged |
