If you are asking whether age is a good indicator of your relative readiness for gear, then you are asking quite a loaded question. Even though there should only be rare occasions when persons under the age of 21 experiment with gear, there none-the-less are exceptions to the rule. My question to you is have you done all you could with diet, nutrition, and proper (note I am using the term "proper") training? I personally know of an 19-year-old that has been training since he was 14 years old. He has been training for the (2004) Olympics for the last 3 years. He seems to be a good candidate. But, if you haven't been in the gym 5 days a week and 3 times a day for the last three years then you may want to wait a while and see where 7 meals a day with 5 days of hard training get you. Think about disrupting your natural test production for the rest of your life because you wanted to gain 15 pounds now instead of a year or two from now. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

2thick as some great point's that i agree with 100% but for the training part, 5 days a week, i don't think he meant if your not in the gym 7 days a week, for 8 hours a day you wont grow. that isent for everyone. you need to try everything possible ( training ) just because you think your not going to grow anymore doesn't mean that you wont. i would say, stay natural until your 20-21 IP: Logged |

Contrary to popular belief taking AS will not permanently screw up your natural testosterone production. It won't screw it up anymore than it would if you were 30. It will just temporarily shut down while you're on the AS. The only issue here is bone growth. I mean, if you're 18 and you're 5 foot 6, then yeah, wait a couple years... a lot of guys I know grew a couple of inches between 18 and 20. But if you're 18 years old, 6 feet tall, Have a full beard and hair on your chest... hell yes, go ahead. If you've been lifting since you're 13 and you're not a total dumbass, I assume that in the last 5 years you have done or you can do a little research and know how to use these drugs safely and effectively. It also depends on what you want from bodybuilding. I mean if you're actually doing it to be competitive in BB or in most other sports then maybe you want to grow some more. If you're doing it just to look freakily huge... then it's definitely easier when your shorter. The disproportion gives an amazing look. Want an exmaple look at Lee Priest! IP: Logged |

big_bad_buff, When I mentioned training, I was referring to how my friend trains for the Olympics. I was merely stating that may friend may be ready because of his dedication and hard work. A-mass, I would imagine that a person at the height of natural testosterone production (i.e. 18 year old) would have his hormonal axis disrupted more than a 30 year old who is producing less testosterone every day. I guess I'm not an expert but I have done some reading. and I found no reason why a teenager's natural daily test production would not eventually go back to normal... even if it would take longer than a 30 year old. That's my point that it's temporary. IP: Logged |
