I have been cutting now for about 6 weeks and took some pictures tuesday to post for the beginning of my winny,eq, test prop cycle and when I got them back I was flat, looked like I had excessive skin in my chest area, etc. After seeing those pictures I am about to hang it up. Any one ever had this problem? I know low carbs will flatten you, but man I am embarrased to post those pic's, they are sad. Chesty IP: Logged |

I agree... just because you're going low carbs for competition preparation doesn't mean you should be dehydrating yet. If that's not it maybe it's like B_B_B says. Did you take the pics cold or after a pump? IP: Logged |

tan and you'll be suprised hwo much beter you look. move the carbs around 200 during the week and bring them up on weekends (300)and you'll harden up real fast. also increase water to 2-3 gallons a day. i am competing in may and yesterday had bodyfat done at 7.2 % but recently increased carbs a bit and tanning has helped. make sure your protein as high as well. do you have bodyfat reading? remeber on stage you need to be ripped and dry and there are many last minutes things you can do so STAY FOCUSED. if you ever want to e mail someone going through the same drop me a line. The boys are right, could be camera, lighting anything, I know what your going through bro, seven weeks into cutting here, and I hate all the mirrors in my house at this point. One thing that helps me alot, is that even though Im cutting, I have one cheat day a week on my diet, and I totally carb spike out! Its amazing how much fuller everything looks the next few days after. Try it, it may work for you. Bleed Iron Bro, Later. IP: Logged |

Oh Jesus christ!, Don't hang it up! Increase your carbs. You will notice that the last few weeks you will change on command. Your body is right now a burning machine! Go out and have yourself a nice big steak and potato. Your body will love you for it. Beleive me when I tell you, don't overdo the dieting cuz your body WILL eat itself away!!! It has no remorse, all your hard earned muscle will go right before your eyes and there is nothing you can do about it. Make sure you are eating enough carbs and you will stay full. Remember it's not how you look this minute, It's how you look at prejudging. Up the carbs and stay big! IP: Logged |

Hey bro. Take it from me. The first couple of times i dieted down i got the same way. You didnt give much info on your diet but it sounds as if you could be staying on it very strictly. I believe in dieting down slowly and giving your body some days for higher calories. If im dieting for a couple of weeks straight i might go three or four days in a row on some high calories and higher carbs. I know when i stay strict on low calories and carbs i just seem to get smaller not leaner. Just throw in some high calories from time to time. Youd probably fill out a little and look much better in a couple of days. The first time i dieted down i was flat and didnt even do the show i was trying for i was so down, the next couple of days i increased my calories gained about nine pounds and was harder. For some people it takes time to figure out the best scheme to lose bodyfat and retain muscle, so be patient and dont give up. It literally took me three years to get it right but it was well worth the wait now that i found my groove. This method will take a little longer but you never want to be in a hurry when dieting because you sacrifice too much hard earned muscle. kpumpin IP: Logged |

Hey Bro... If the show means a lot to You then give that Thiomucase cream a try. I used it for my first show and it really tightened my skin up around my chest and abs. I only used 2 tubes over about a 2-3 week time frame but I was so impressed with it til this time I'm going to try to get my hands on 5-6 tubes and use it not only on my chest and abs but my legs, glutes and back as well. Nutrition Express has it for like $15/tube but the later it gets in the contest season, the harder it is to find it. Never Quit !!! Cause We're In Too Deep... N2Deep~ IP: Logged |

Man don't you dare give up now. If you stopped now, you will look back and say I wonder what I would look like had I finished. Remember you aren't no damn quiter, and if bodybuilding was so easy everybody would be doing it. If you feel really falt, up the carbs alittle and compensate with alittle more cardio. And if you feel like shit, have a cheat day or add some extra fat to your diet, your body will not store it, it will go straight to energy. I think its great that everybody on the board is trying to motivate you into not giving up, cause we have all been there. Remember the ming controlls the body and not the other way around. Everyone thanks for the encouragement. I am not gonna quit! I have put in to practice some of the suggestions. My diet has been real strict 1 gal water day, 300 gms protein, 200 gms carbs and less than 50 gms of fat. I have started doubling the carbs on the weekends. Last night I ate about a pound of potatoes, a plate of spaghetti. do the same today. Monday I am going to try to see to it that I get two gallons of water a day for the next three months. I have till may 20th for first show. I will be starting the eq, winny and test prop in one week. I will not give up! ever!, glad to have you all on my side. Sincerley, chesty Ps. I do believe it was from using a flash, and it was about two hours after eating, three after working out. I'll try it again here in a couple of weeks, outdoors and tanned. IP: Logged |
