-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Bros what do you think of Protein Powders/Mrp, I think they are way overrated. Sure its much more convenient to drink some whey after a workout than to down cans of tuna or chicken breasts, but other than that do you bros really think they are that good. For the convience factor and to help you bump up the protein levels of your diet they are very helpful, but if you can eat enough solid food to reach your desired protein requirements I don't think you need them. Its just that I see people who think that if they take brand X's Super Duper micro cold fusion cryogenically enhanced super mega growth protein powder they are going to get big. I don't think any vets here got big from protein powders right!!! Do bros think protein powders are really that much better than good ole tuna, chicken breast, lean red meat, and eggs?? The reason for me saying all of this, I haven't been training for five months due to health problems and lost 20lbs of muscle. I am better now and want to make a come back, but this time around I want to train without using that many supplemnts namely protein powders. I really want the bros here to ressure me that as long as I have proper nutrition, sleep, training, and dedication that it is possible for me to get back to my former self without the aid of protein powders. Oh yeah, any bros here get big without taking protein powders, if so, can you tell me your story. IP: Logged |

It's way easier to gain muscle when you're taking protein powder. ** WAY ** easier. I bet everyone here is taking a whey, soy, MRP or something. It's just too damn hard to get enough protein from solid food. ------------------ IP: Logged |

If you can down 4-5K cals./day day in/day out without the MRP's, you're a better man than I. After a while, the mere site of chicken and tuna will make you want to puke. IP: Logged |

I love Myoplex Deluxe right after a workout with some L-glutamine. It really hits the spot. I also like having a scoop of ProLab protein late night when I get hungry and during the day as a snack. When i'm bulking I find that they both come in handy in helping me reach my protein intake goals for a day. IP: Logged |

I totally agree with malon, if you can eat all that in one day then hats off to you. You cant beat powders and mrp's for their convenience and quality of good protein. I eat like a horse now, but I couldnt have made the gains I have without the above mentioned....over advertised...yes....overated...certainly not. Later. IP: Logged |
