  I've been reading up on the types of the new "X-ray" machines customs has been using. maybe i'm crazy, but if these machines are designed to look for hollow places in solid objects, wouldn't it be obvious if you hollowed out a book or put your gear in a shampoo bottle? help me out here. . . I am not sure about all the costom stuff but i got 12 weeks of durabolin mailed to me and nothing ever happened. There was no return address. That was not a problem but I think that I got real lucky IP: Logged |

2Thick is right. They can't possibly check everything. Only things that look suspicious, or an area that is flagged. Check the black lists and scammer boards before you order. IP: Logged |

i'm bumping myself to clearify my questions. i'm talking about the xray they use at the airports. to check the carry on's and the checked luggage. dose anyone have any knowlege in this area. and as for mailing, what do you package it in and via what system. ups, fedex? thanks bro's IP: Logged |

Less than 2% of all packages are even looked at by customs, info courtesy the History Channel. Funny thing is, a couple source sites out there claim a monthly seizure rate of like 3-5%. Either these sites on the wrong side of the Bell Curve or customs knows their stuff. IP: Logged |

The airport x-ray machines look for anything conspicuous. The only way that you will get something through is on your body. Customs will open up bags with anything that is hard to identify. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

In the US, they aren't going to xray your bags on the way out of Mexico. The last time I came back I was VERY nervous about what someone might find in my balled up dirty socks. Stuff in your bag is less conspicuous than a bunch of gear taped to your legs. bury it in the bag, throw a way as much packaging as you can (and labels) ------------------ IP: Logged |

Thanks for the input. i was thinking that i might take some old amps (empty) with me to mexico and see if i get checked. i guess i would rather get caught with a bunch of empty amps than with the real thing. is this a bad idea? or am i just being too careful? IP: Logged |
