Besides the shear fact that you want to get as big and ripped as physically possible, what other motivation techniques do you guys use to get us ass out of bed and into the gym. I am knew to this and trying to get the most out of every workout. If your hearts not in it, you gain nothing out of it. What's your secrets? IP: Logged |

KANT HELP IT but, yeah sometimes when I'm over tired, didn't get enough sleep the night before, feeling sore, it's 10 degrees outside...that kind of shit, it's hard to get out of bed and into the gym. Every day I don't go to the gym, I'm not getting bigger. Every day I don't go to the gym, I'm burning less fat. Every day I'm not in the gym, I'm one day further from being that much huge-er. It's easy to say "I don't want to over train", but if that's really the case, get your ass in the gym and do some cardio, get out and take a fucking walk. Overtraining bullshit excuse... But sometimes you can get really fucking sick of the gym, then it's time to change up the routine. OR do the patented Big Catratcho, "Favorite body part workout" _Just do yer favorite exercise, and get the fuck out of teh gym that day. Beach muscles, bi's, whatever. I DIG DEADS. ------------------ IP: Logged |

After training for so long you just get to the point where its habit. I'm at that point. If I don't go to the gym I feel guilty and feel like a part of me is dying. The feeling I get during and after a workout is very addictive. I need it everyday. IP: Logged |

I want to match my strength with the proportional size. Also, I want to pick up the side of a car. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

I'm like DianaballBusta If I miss a day I feel down, sundays always suck so I have to watch some kind of sports or action movies to keep me happy....Just picture this...Middle of Dec till 2nd week of Jan. I was having relationship problesm 24-7 and to top it off I didn't have money for the gym, so I was forced to do my ghetto home made routine of plyometrics Instead of it being "THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR" it was like Depression with "Satan and his little demons on Ice without the ice" pretty bad shit... So do what you have to do to keep moitivate, listen to the Rocky soundtracks, Read a motivational book, or just look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what needs to be changed....The last usually works well for me... You don't need to "get motivated", after awhile (if you were meant to lift) it will be a habit to get your ass in the gym and work hard. Just the thought of it will be motivation enough. ------------------ IP: Logged |

At the end of my freshman year in college my girlfriend left for Colorado for the summer, a week later she dumped my skinny ass. I really don't blame her I was too skinny. That is when I started lifting, Every freaking rep I thought of her and how much I hated her, and that dude she was banging. I put on 23 pounds in 2 months, w/out gear. I would get home from the gym, and eat, and then go back to the gym because I was pissed off about it that day. I never had problems finishing a close rep, I just thought about her. She cam back, I banged her that night, said some smart ass comment refering to me as "daddy," and I haven't talked to her since. It might not be the morally correct, but I am still lifting and I could care less about her. IP: Logged |

I sometimes watch tapes of pro bodybuilder training or posing to get me motivated. Also loud, angry music. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Another vote for the guilty. I feel if I don't hit the gym, I'm going to instantly start to shrink. My arms will get small, and my chest will dissipate down to a ribcage with nipples. Scary shit to me. Every day I lift, I'm just that much closer to being to where I want to be. When my lifting day goes shitty... I just hit the wrestling ring for a while. If it's REALLY shitty... usually a good nap will help put the pep in. I get really grumpy when I'm tired. IP: Logged |

Sometimes the proper motivational techniques involve THe Def TOnes - My own summer (shove It)-real loud in your car on the way to the gym. Pop some ripped fuel and drink some coffee before you leave for the gym. Make your workout short and to the point. Example for chest - 3 set incline2-3 reps heavy. 3 sets flat bench 5-8 reps; 3 sets cable fly - 10-15 reps. See Ya. Also make sure you train in the real ugly section, I know the BigAssLittleHonduran and I will there makin sure there are plenty of 45's for everybody. also, for the best motivation, LIVE, and i mean, LIVE the statement that ASSFACE always signs his posts with. ------------------ IP: Logged |
