I have been cycle on and off for over a year (3 cycles), each time using atleast one form of testosterone and one from of Deca or Primo. My blood pressure has gone from 110/65 to 160/80, which is concidered quite high. My cholesterol as well has shot right out of the roof (9 hh good cholesterol and 260 hh bad). My doc has put my on Lipitor, but is all this due the sups? Thanks....

Depends what you're eating too bro. You should check out your diet and maybe modify it.

Yes, steroids can cause those things, but when you are off a cycle for about a month they both significantly decrease!

Also, 160/80 is high, but not high enough to be prescribing meds! If the bottom number is over 90 and the top is over 160 then that's when prescriptions should be written. My wife has high blood pressure and has to have it checked all the time!

el c. ive been in those lower ranges every time on. cholesterol enough to fill an egg carton. ekg- no anomalies - blood workup-liver enzymes ok, renal function good, colonoscopy, nominal. i do drink a pool load of water, use very low doses by comparison, but have had high bp while on. i was also diagnosed with sleep apnea. the breathing apparatus i use lets me sleep like a fkn deadman! my bp has dropped significantly even while on now!

My BP also rises when on gear at higher doses, but returns to normal after about a month or so off of the gear. My systolic (the top number) was as high as 162 and my diastolic (lower number) was as high as 96, but my doctor did not put me on any medications. Then again it always returns to normal by the next time I see him.

Blood pressure is a serious thing, although it doesn't sounnd like you have a concern with those numbers. Plus are you taking any kind of beta stimulator? Clen, Ephedrine, or Ma Huang? Or even plain old caffine? Those will get you going enough to produce a rise. ALso nervousness will play a role if you scared at the time when getting BP taken.

Hey again bro. The increase in blood pressure is actually considered to be more important than the actual number in some situations. Are you taking creatine? Sometimes that has good effects on cholesterol. All sorts of things, especially your sups, can increase blood pressure. I think it would be ok if your doc were to give you an ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor. ACE inhibitors have few side effects, and little chance of interaction. Not to worry you bro, but your numbers put you at high risk for cardiovascular diseases in the future. That good cholesterol level is really low. Have you had a graded exercise test lately? If not, get one. You need to know about any left ventricular hypertrophy, which sometimes happens to BBs with high blood pressure. I'm not being alarmist, andI don't want you to stress over it, just check it out and cover your bases. Did you get my mail about the cholesterol? If not, let me know. Otherwise, consider my advice. Any questions or concerns, write me. Take care, stay huge for many years to come. Peace

Man Dr. Atlas, I must say that you are the BOMB!! Thanks for all the great info. I am gonna take these recommendations to my doc for analysis and she if she can do something for me. By the way, what exactly is a 'graded exersize test' and 'left ventricular hypertrophy'? Thanks a WHOLE bunch bro.

Damn Dr Atlas knows what he is talking about!! You dont have to worry about ventricular hypertrophy unless you have had hypertension for a period of years.. VH is when the hart muscle build on the output side to compensate for the increase in BP and is not good.. It actually will decrease cardiac output when it gets to much muscle the elastic property of the cardiac tissue declines and causes a whole lot o problems. Anyway 160/85 is not that bad on gear..
