If you really want to learn some things cops will do to catch a bad guy watch the saturday show cops.

Second, if a cop pulls you over and the traffic violation is a misdemeaner you can be arrested and searched. If it is an infraction no.

On entrapment. Undercover cops do not tell you who they are, that would be like signing their death warrant. Remember the game of cops and bad guys' is not a game it is a war and that is how it is fought.

Entrapment would be if I was undercover trying to get a hooker to offer me sex. I can't state the price I am willing to pay, that is entrapment, on the other hand what I would do is try to get her to offer me a price. Like uc: "Hey, what do you offer?" hooker: "Blow jobs", uc: "How much?" Hooker: "Ten dollars" that is fair, but I can't say "hey baby I'll give ya ten bucks if you blow me" that is entrapment.
