I was looking at pics of Arnold and Ronnie Coleman the other day and comparing them. The size difference between them is so fricken amazing! The sport has definately changed. Guys these days are almost not human. It's pretty interesting...and DAMN inspirational. IP: Logged |

From what I hear, there is a "moratorium" on sales/rentals of Pumping Iron. This is because Lou Ferrigno purchsed the rights to it, and will not authorize its distribution. This is due to the fact that Arnold routinely embarrasses him throughout the movie. The same holds true for Stallone's pornos.....which are almost impossible to get anymore.....even off the Net. Schwarzenegger has been my idol since I was a little kid. I used to watch Commando all of the time. I have watched Pumping Iron at least 15 times. I rented it at Blockbuster and copied it... oops I mean purchased it at Blockbuster. That movie is great to watch for inspiration. IP: Logged |

Yes I could not agree with you any more Arnold is the bomb. I had to steal my copy from a friend I look stil just to see if its being sold any where I can't find it any where. If for some odd reason I don't feel the urge go to the gym ( then I feel like I should build an Ark or something) I just pop in the movie ad like 3 min. later I'm reasy to go. IP: Logged |

how big was arnolds waist? 28, 29 inches? that's what made him look so good, small waist and a huge upper body, is legs weren't that big. like 29 right?

If any of you guys really want this movie, you can go to e-bay. There are several people auctioning off copies. However, the price will probably go pretty high, so be ready to spend, stay big, Christian IP: Logged |

Was Robby Robinson in the same competition as Ken Waller in the movie. Ken said "the only guy I worry about is Robby" and I didn't see him in the placings, there is no way waller could have beat him, he looked awesome compared to Ken. LP IP: Logged |

ASSFACE wishes that some of the old school values would come back to todays bodybuilding world. Back then it was traing hard, And Assface means TRAIN HARD, eat like a champ, and juice was not the main focus of how to get that big. I dont think anyone can argue that these guys were big! Definitly not as big as todays gorillas, but 200-230 and ripped, without a gorilla belly, without a shelf brow, and without Ronnies bitchtits. There was a quality to the old school muscles that had hard work written all over them. Look at Franco, that guy had a dense, powerfull looking physique. Zane was not big, but super symetric and shredded, even go back to the 80's and look at guys like Mighty Mike Quinn, Rich Gaspari, Lee Haney, and Lee Labrada. I dont know if im too old school, but the only reason I follow the new guys today is to see when one of them od's on lasix before a show and freezes like a statue. I also like looking at their beet red faces and swollen cheeks. Ill take an old school physique over a Lee Preist or a Nasser anyday. The new guys have taken it to a new level for sure, but ASSFACE is not so sure it is what I personally am after. ASSFACE has thrown in his 2 cents. IP: Logged |
