personally, I (thats reduntant) work my abs every workout, and even though I'm at a pretty high bodyfat %...you can still see my abs through the layer of fat.... I do roughly 200 crunches, sometimes holding a weight/day....some leg raises... IP: Logged |

Abs, just like your calves, are the hardest muscle to get gains on. You use them everyday, all day. Just hammer them as hard as you can, and they will improve. Since you are on a bulking cycle right now, you probably won't see any change. When you get on your cutting cycle, you will see the results of all your hard work. I do alot of ab deck, and alot of leg lifts. Dont forget your obliques. IP: Logged |

oh yeah, this is definitely a diet thing, and if you really want to get tight and hard, try a cutting cycle with Eq and Winny. IP: Logged |

As a couple guys have mentioned, diet is crucial to building (an exposing)those highly sought after abs. The trick, however, is to get some of that annoying cardio into your training. If anyone says that minimum cardio cut into your muscle gains, then they are greatly mistaken. Remember that all gear is anti-catabolic, so you will only burn off fat. Do crunches (slowly and remember to concentrate and squeeze at the end). Also, do some leg lifts and broomstick twists. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

WHEN YOU GET TO THE POINT WHERE YOU CAN SIT DOWN ANYWHERE AND CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF YOUR ABS AT WILL, THEN WHENEVER YOU WANT TO, EVEN NOW, START FLEXING YOUR ABS, I DO THIS OFTEN AND NOW I JUST REMEMBERED SO I AM DOING IT AS I TYPE THIS. IT KEEPS THE MUSCLE AND MIND CONNECTION GOING GOOD.

Like I mentioned realier, I do abs after every workout. I do higher rep (but only up to 40 reps) with squeezing and concentration. I do them slowly and let the burn set in. Keep the time in between sets at about 15-30 seconds. That way you work your abs aerobically and rip them up. The ab roller (done correctly) is awesome for ripping abs. Also hang from a pull-up bar and do hanging knee lifts. Broomstick twists really help your obliques and outer abs. jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

For me, always a batttle between bulking up and ripped abs. Once I got the flu for 2 weeks. Unable to work out or eat and lost 15 pounds. My abs looked better than they had my whole life - only problem is I got puny everywhere else. IP: Logged |

Bro, Diet. Cardio. Regular abs training (at least every other day.) The ab roller is excellent - if you do each rep slowly and use proper form. Also you can try all types of feet positions with the ab roller - one that is extremely effective for me is to keep my legs extended - tightens the abs nicely. Matt IP: Logged |

diet and cardi simply cut your carbs back and add a little extra cardio to see your abs. I'm at 8% bodyfat right now and haven't been on a cycle in two months. IP: Logged |

i know winny is not "cutting" use dnp or clen to cut....... well, there wasnt any clen or dnp being used in Ahhhnolds time and they got shredded by shear diet and available gear-mostly primo and anavar at the time for cuts. granted, science has enabled current bb to get more IP: Logged |

Some high intensity cardio is needed to really bust out the abs, provided you have the leanness to see them real good. I don't like the 200 crunches route; abs have a lot of fast-twitch muscle fibers which will respond best to exercises that fatigue them in less than 15 reps. The best ab exercise ever is to do crunches on a swiss ball with a dumbell on your chest. If you get full back extension and full trunk flexion 12 times holding a 50lb on your upper sternum, trust me you will know you have tweaked those muscles like never before. Stay huge.
