I ve read a lot of stuff that you should work out the abs all 2 days but for me the abs is a muscle like every other which means for me that they need the same amount of recovery. I only work out my abs once a week but it works for me. The exercise that i think gives me best abs is legraise(since im german i dont know how this exercise is really called...)followed by crunshes. But I always try to vary exercises on the abs. Oh yeah...here in Germany every body wonders if Hydroxycut is good only few tried it because it is very hard to get here in Germany since its forbidden here...is it good stuff??? IP: Logged |

You are right , abs are like any other muscle. I work it once per wk , especially with a machine that focus on thickness. Many people work abs each day , and they do not know that they are wrong ! Abs need recovery , and moreover you use abs also when you do all the other exercises (squat , bench , etc ... etc ...). I then increase abs routine when I decide to cut my body (and I also change the diet). IP: Logged |

Abs are the most addaptive muscle moreover than any other. So doing a light routine 2 to 3 times a week is not uncommon. But one focused ab routine a week is needed for the SHOCK effect in order to get the reponse for growth. What works best for me are 1. the reverse curl machine for focus to the lower abs to start 2. Crunch machine for all over abs 3. Decline bench with plate in on chest. Works for me... ------------------ IP: Logged |

2x per week works fine for me with minimal soreness, and good recovery. I do lying cross legged crunches (a little tid bit I picked up off Shawn Ray) hanging leg raises, and decline sit ups. I work out 5 days a week, but if I get ancy on a Sat. Ill go in and just work on my abs, forearms, and calves to insure they dont lag behind. IP: Logged |

I work my abs twice a week, hit them with as many variations as posssible, but treat them like any other muscle, theres nothing like a good six pack. IP: Logged |

I always do abs, calves, and forearms on an "off day", all with intensity. Abs are just like every other muscle, they need time to recover! I mainly do "rope pull-downs", weighted crunches, and reverse crunches. IP: Logged |

I never do abs unless i am going to do a show. in my eyes it waists too much energy that could be turned into muscle. but that dont mean i dont have nice abs, my friends hate me. IP: Logged |

Since no one else answered i'm gonna, hydroxy cut is alright, it's nothing special though, just take some clen it's much better, and i hate taking the 12 pills a day you need on hydroxy cut.

I am not interested in thickening my abs (as of yet), so I work them 4 times per week. It is a light workout that hardens them substantially. I believe that you can work abs everyday and have great results. They may not grow, as some people prefer, but they will gain greater shape and definition (and not to mention hardness). I do hanging leg lifts, ab roller, and broomstick twists. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |
