Great board- exellent info. I'm about to begin my first cycle (sust/deca) and I am prone to acne. I have used Accutane in the past with good results but am worried about problems while on ans. How worried should I be about acne and any advise on minimizing this side effect? Thanks IP: Logged |

would not use Accutane bud. As you know if you actually went to a dermatologist to get the script you have to get a liver profile and a lipid profile every month. If you do use Accutane while on a cycle I would get my name put on the liver transplant list way in advance. Try this, get a broad spectrum oral anti-biotic like Erythromycin and/or a topical like Cleocin phosphate and/or Differin, Retin-A micro. IP: Logged |

keep clean (showers) and personally, the more I shave while on a cycle, the more I get the upper arm acne.... though I've been able to keep it in check from tanning and keeping my skin a little drier than normal.... must shower immmediately after tanning, or the reverse will take place IP: Logged |

some anti biotics and Accutane(which is not an antibiotic) specifically act as antiandrogens- just something to keep in mind. if you want to use accutane try the topical form isotrex. washing your body with nizoral will proabably help as well. flax oil is good cause most of us have unbalanced fatty acid ratios anyways. other wise keep fat intake low- cause it is just more fuel for the sebaceuos glands, ------------------ IP: Logged |

Yeah, tanning seams to work for me quite well too for some reason. Every now and then you can help but get a zit but that still seems to work best for me. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Same problem here, I broke out like a mad man, my first couple of cycles, and they were conservative, and the shaving made my chest and arms break out even more. I was taking two to three showers a day. The acne however wasnt the cyst type, these were more like black heads and concentrated around my shoulders. I ended up using one of those 10% clearasil washes, wich seemed to help, Im gonna try using physoderm next cycle to if it will work better. IP: Logged |
