A.... Thor, not to call you a liar or anything but could you post one of those pictures with the tape around it? I have beeen bodybuilding for over 21 years and that arm looks about 17.5 to me.Hell maybe you have a great peak?BY that picture I m thinking you weigh what? 195-205?Not heavey enough for those numbers.By the way anybody else have the gut to post a picture to go with the claim? Thor: maybe its just the way the pic was taken, but I'm a little skeptical of "18 3/4"-unless you're over 6'4, your ponderal index proportion certainly doesnt match the rest of your body in the photo if your arms really are 18 3/4 cold. Im hoping you guys know how to properly measure... -The most accurate measurements are done with a flexible steel tape attached to a tension measuring device. Kinesiologists call this a Gullick tape. It allows you to always take measurements with the same degree of tension on the tape, ensuring that your measurements are accurate and not influenced by wishful thinking. It's also a good idea to let someone else take the measurement for you so that you're not tempted to stick a finger under the tape. To take accurate measurements, position your upper arm in a relaxed state so that it's parallel to the floor, with the elbow pointing directly ahead of you. Measure the arm at its greatest girth, which should be at the peak of the biceps. Make sure that the "circle" formed by the tape is perpendicular to the ground. The most accurate measurements are, of course, taken by kinesiologists who specialize in kinanthropometry. Keep in mind many pro's have grosssly exaggerated arm sizes; the largest ever legitimately recorded set of guns in pro BB belonged to sergio oliva @ 20.6 inches; this is not counting fatasses. Regardless, Im pretty sure my BS detector will still be going of more than once... I'm at 17in cold. [This message has been edited by B182 (edited February 09, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Deep: that's right; he CLAIMED...its funny, because when you meet these guys in person, they dont look so big anymore. If they told the truth, then it'd mean I'm over 20in as well lol! IP: Logged |

B182 get out of the stoneage, this is no flame but read the last issues of flex and muscle mag in them you will find GREG KOVACS olympia(i think) convention where cell tech measured his 27' inch arms in public and photo's were taken further more Ronnie Coleman was over 22 at the olympia, Sergio is old and I mean old news, And I am for sure not a fat ass and if mine are not 22+ I will kiss your ass give you $500.00 and a half hour to draw a crowd. I wont cut for another 6 week but they will still be over 21 at less than 8%bf and no synthenol. Keep reading. MASSIVE IP: Logged |

I don't know what a ponderal index proportion is, but I'm 6'2 1/2" 250lbs. If it means proportion to my body, all I can say is waist is 35" and I'm currently retaining a lot of water. [This message has been edited by themightyTHOR (edited February 10, 2000).] IP: Logged |

I am 5'10.5", weigh in at 210 right now: I have 18in cold, 18.5 pumped, during my first cycle ever late last year I was at 18.5 cold and 19 pumped. Now for my other measurements since arms do not make a body builder, my legs are 28.5 off season, not sure now but around 27-28 now, {finishing first month of cutting} (weak, I know). Chest is weak at 48-50, waist is 31in and calves are 16.5-17(yeah they suck), neck is 17 in. I will get my measurements tonight including caliper measurements and where taken. And post tomorrow. Matt: He's an animal; he's what you get when you stack freak genetics with a little juice. If you ever see him again, ask him to show you the "apple sauce" trick. UGMASSIVE: man, I'd hardly call flex an honest source if info. I've spent many hours around pros in all weight training sports, and know what real 22in guns look like; more often than not, when you see these guys in person they really dont stack up well compared to their claimed dimensions. The difference between sergrio and kovacks was that serio's measurements were legit no bullshit. do you have any clue what 27in guns would look like? Trust me, photos can be very misleading. Ive wasted enough time trying to open your eyes, see you at the arnold classic... IP: Logged |

If Kovac's really has 27 inch arms then they are as big as freakin' legs. That is unf**&&& believable. Besides I don't think his arms really have all that good an appearence to them. IP: Logged |
