Anybody have any experience returning from Mexico on a cruise with gear? I checked all previous post's and didn't find any regarding cruiseline customs. Any info would be greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

You might wanna doublecheck it but I heard if you have less than a 90 day supply on you, even if they find it you can legally keep it all. IP: Logged |

I know you have to go through customs but, Im not sure how thurough they are, or whether theres a metal detector or do they search your bags ? I will ask some friends tonight who took a cruise last year to Cabo. IP: Logged |

I wouldn't bet that customs would let me keep anything that they found. Anybody know if they X-ray baggage? Or just carry ons, I was thinking vials in a shampoo bottle might work. Thanks for the reply- Anybody ever try one of those fake shaving cream cans with a hidden space in them? IP: Logged |

THE OLD STEROID IN THE SHAMPOO BOTTLE TRICK EHH. IF YOU GET A PRESCRIPTION FROM A MEXICAN DOCTOR THEN YOU ARE ENTITLED TO BUY AND USE THE STUFF, BUT MEXICAN DOCTORS DONT HAVE JURISDICTION IN THE US. SO YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET AWAY WITH THEM TAKING IT FROM YOU AND LETTING YOU GO. OR THEY MAY WANT TO KEEP YOU FOR A STRETCH. DEPENDS. YOU TAKE YOUR CHANCES AND SOMETIMES YOU WIN. Of course, I would never do anything like this... ONE could stuff unwrapped redijects into ONE's balled up dirty socks and underware. Amps, too, and vails, too. when you come back into US customs with a bunch of touristy lookin tourists, they just want to get your asses through the line. I, er I imagine that you WOULD get really nervous getting through that line, particularly if you had an expired passport, and were born in Honduras (even though a US citizen)
If you aren't dressed like a gangster, druglord, assasin, or a 345lb bodybuilder with Zubas, a weight belt, hockey haircut and a fuckin dew rag, you can get through customs pretty breezy like. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I was on cruise in December, and brought back some gear. It was so easy. They checked like one out of a thousand peoples bags, and basicly just made them open them. There were no dogs and only like 5 agents. They are only looking for coke. It is cool. IP: Logged |
