I'm super pissed and feel sick to my stomach. Today I couldn't move anything properly. I was dead in the gym. It was embaressing. I never used 'roids, so it's not like I got off of it and lost power.

The excuse I come up with is;
Didn't have enough sleep
Didn't have proper breakfast
I'm caughing and have slightly itchy throat
Spanked the monkey earlier

But, that's that just fucking excuse. My shoulders are hurting from that dip exercise. Is my f#@#@ shoulders supposed to hurt from the dip? My whole ego is crushed today.

You had a shitty workout, but you will never ever have to contemplate the fact that you could have been one workout bigger if you had skipped this training session. You are one day bigger now than you were yesterday.
ASSFACE USED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ON DIPS. HERE IS WHAT ASSFACE DID TO MAKE THE BAD PAIN STOP.
Dont go all the way down on dips, it puts the rotator cuff in a very dangerous position, go down until your upper arm is just slightly lower than parallel to the floor. Pause in this position, come back up.

ASSFACE HAS SPOKEN, GO GET BIGGER.

i agree. taking time off is necessary and can actually make you bigger, you need time to grow.

I had a shitty lift a few days ago on back. I couldn't get shit going. But... arm day went extremely well the day after... because I was so pissed about the day before, it pumped up my motivation a little more to kick some ass. The sun'll come out.... tomorrow. (don't stone me for that, please)

I look at days off as part of the workout. Just like sleep. The sets are a bit longer and don't fatigue you like moving iron, but they are just as important. Could be you were overtrained or are getting a cold.

Hang in there

I agree with most people it seems. Off days are good for a few reasons, but what I like the most from getting more rest. Your that much more hungry to get back to the gym, and you tend to feel like a CRAZY DAMN ANIMAL when you go back to what kicked you in the ass the previous time...

REST up and be prepared to give that dip bar and ASS WHIPPING It will never forget...

Sometimes when your workout feels shitty, it is your body saying that you did not rest/feed it properly the last few days, and you need to do so.

Rest is as much a part fo training as going to the gym is...if you don't get enough you just will not gain.

I have never had a problem with jerking off prior to a workout. Sometimes I need to. if I try to go a few days without in order to increase intensity, I end up going through the whole workout thinking about sex and not about training...and the workout is poor.

I think it is more likely rest/food related and not the jerking off.

Don't ever jerk off before a workout, it will destroy you. If I do that sometimes I loose the motivation to even go to the gym. Save it for afterwards.

I would have to agree with the norm on this one. You need to listen to your body and what it has to say. If the workout is really shitty and you know you have been neglecting it sleep and proper nutrition you need to take a rest, get composure and nurish yourself in order to get back into the swing of it. Re-evaluate your routine and take it more seriously.

Hey, I posted about the same problem. First thing you need to do is read some of Rangers poetry cause it kicks ass! Then take a couple of days off. I know it sounds crazy, I thought it did to. But since I took the 3-4 days off, all of my lifts went up dramatically, I was so pumped up to get back in, I had the best workout of this month (even though it only been 9 days) each day just gets better. Good Luck

P.S. hey guys check it out, Im almost at 100!

Well I know if I 'choke the chicken' before a workout I lose all motivation. I really do get a big fall off in my aggression. Having said all that well all have bad days in the gym, the office, the bedroom, ie. shite happens !!!.
