Hurt my Knee wrestling some looser at a bachelor party the other day. I kicked his ass but now I have a stiff knee. Here is the wierd part, the injury is on the outside of my leg, about 2" down from my knee joint. The pain is not evident when I perform a squating motion, only when I stress my knee lateraly, or when i rotate my foot to an extreme. Any advice( besides stop wresteling people to prove what a bad ass you are) would be greatly apreciated. IP: Logged |

I know the Feeling, remember when you wrestle your body pivats but your knees and feet stay stationary, this causes alot of stress on the joints. My advice is to let it heel (Rest it) and if you have some Deca use it. IP: Logged |

Sounds to me like you've torn your MCL (medial collateral legiment).DON'T DO SQUATS.Although this movement will not give you pain, let your knee rest.Don't take a chance, don't do legs for a couple of weeks.Ice it 3-4 times a day for 20 minutes and do lots of spinning on the stationary bike. It's probably only a grade one tear. Good luck bro....play safe. IP: Logged |

Thanx for the info Harleyguy, I will take your advice and lay off the squats for a week or two. When I do go back to squating, should I wear a knee wrap for a few weeks for extra support? IP: Logged |

Seriously doubt you've torn something. If you had, you'd know it! Is there a knot close to the joint? Any swelling? If so, where? Take some Aleve or Advil. Ice as much as possible. 10min. on, 10min. off. Get lots of rest. Good luck. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Gents, What we probably have here is a sublexed(sp?) Knee. It happens when the offending foot is back, toes planted and you push forward while your knee is going down. Sometimes there is a pop, usually not. The pattelar Tendon is what streched, not a ligament tearing. The pain is from latteral movement within the knee joint that the patellar tendon usually prevents. Stay off the squats, don't do legs for a couple of weeks, start slow with leg extensions for high reps, low weight. DO NOT HEAT, DO NOT ICE FOR MORE THAN 20 MIN AT A TIME. If you don't belive me, do the smart thing and see a real doctor. BTW don't wrestle with an idiot in public, the public might not know witch one of you is the idiot. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Doctor savage is most likely right. However you must not underestimate the value of an actual physical examination. There are certain clinical clues to affirm diagnosis. IP: Logged |

Hey guys, thanx for all the input. I am now 3 days out from twisting my knee and it is starting to feel better. Very little soreness. Although I could not get an exact diagnosis from this board, we seem to have come to one solid agreement.... No squats for a week or so. Thanx once again IP: Logged |

Yeah, why don't you oinject a whole bunch of that shady looking testosterone from brovel that you don't think is real, right in your fucking knee. That will help to lubricate the joint i'm thinking IP: Logged |

Sounds like a tendon strain. It should be ok in a couple of days. 300 ------------------ IP: Logged |
