If I do heavy weight (6-8 reps) then I wait 1-2 min between sets. But, if I am doing lighter weights with more reps (of 10-12) then I wait no more than 1 minute.

I wait about 3-5 minutes between exercises.

After a heavy intensity set, I always rest
2-3 minutes, just so I know my ATP is
mostly replenished.

Primo, if you want best atp regeneration wait 4-5 mins between heavy sets, that's what i do on my heavy days, 3-6 reps, at 5 min you typically have 90% atp regeneration.

ANYWHERE FROM 2 to 6 min. basically when I feel ready, never more than 10 sets per body part. unless I am doing reps then rest is 1-2 min 10-15 sets.

It depends on the exercise, and the body part, and the training cycle I am in.

Basically, with compund movements (squat, dealift, clean) I rest maybe 3-4 mins between sets. They are so draining I need that much time.

On other days, like if I am training arms, I'll burn them out on a set and then rest maybe only a minute or 90 seconds.

In addition, if I am doing higher reps, I'll rest less, but on low reps/high weight exercises, I rest more.

Hope that helps a little,

Matt
