I know anybody who lifts seriously has had tendonitis from their wrist about halfway down their forearm on the ulna [bone opposite the thumb]. I've had it on and off ever since I started working hard in the gym, and I can usually just ignore the pain. Last few weeks though, I don't know what happened... but I can't even pick up a dumbell in a grip with my fist turned toward me -- much less do curls. It hurts constantly outside of the gym, too. I don't want to stop bicep workouts, but what else is there for it besides icing it? IP: Logged |

YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND I WILL TELL YOU WHAT DID IT FOR ME! IT WAS THAT I SQEEZED TO TIGHT WHEN BENCHING AND CURLING... WENT TO THE DOC...IT IS CALLED LIFTER'S CARPEAL TUNNEL..NO KIDDING BRO....... DO NOT LOCK YOUR DUMB AROUND THE BAR (HOOK) GRIP THE WEIGHTS AND IT SHOULD GO DOWN.......

Its actually the extensor muscle, not truly tendonitis. My doctor just told me to lighten the weight or just do negatives until it heals. And it's healed, just don't lock the thumb up over the bar... IP: Logged |
