I had a package delivered to me from over seas by EMS delivery, which is a lot faster than regular delivery, well, they tried to deliver it to my sis's house today, and wouldnt let her sign for it, said I h ad to sign for it, so they left a notice for me to come to post office and pick it up, the strange thing is, is that the regular post man tried to deliver, it is Sunday, the mail doesn't run on Sunday in the US, just wondering if y'all think it is stupid for me to go pick this package up, I know my stuff is very well hid in the package to where hardly anyone can find it without ripping the contents up. THanks

I'd be worried. They don't care who signs for it, as long as somebody does. Plus the fact that it was the mailman deliverig a package on a sunday, just doesn't seem right.

as strange as it sounds... I've had deliveries come on sunday on occassion...

if the po gets backed up and they can't make all their deliveries on saturday... sometimes they will send around a truck on sunday with just the large packages...

Are you sure it was your regular mailman who delivers all your letters and magazines and shit? Because they don't work Sundays. Sometimes small Post Offices operate differently but I doubt that even if he was delivering it on Sunday the Office would not be open to the public to come and pick it up. I don't know if I would walk into a possible trap. They will attempt a redelivery Monday and then question him about the Sunday delivery. If he seems nervous or searching for an answer then I wouldn't sign for anything. Especially if you were receiving a large amout of product. OR maybe you could leave a delivery waiver note at the door and see if he leaves it?

I just picked up a package a few days ago. they left a slip on my door stating I had a large envelope at the PO I could pick up at a certain time or they would try redelivery the next day. I just went ahead and signed for it at the PO and no problems.

It scared the shit out of me cause the police office is right next door to the PO!

I know exactly what your feeling. Is it worth it? Just go and ask them for the package. Follow the articles that have been writin. " i wasn't expecting anything," and write return to sender on the package. Just act puzzled. Make sure you have nothing in you house or car also. I don't know the legalities of it or if this even works so be careful.
