just curious to what y ou guys think of a change of routine, is it that important while your on, or are you going to grow great anyways no matter what you do I know when I change routines, I get a heck of a lot more sore after a workout which is a good sign I think, thanks.

i would be interested in replies to this also,as changing your routine while "on" would/ would not let you see how much stronger youve gotten.if you change lifts in the middle of a cycle, how would you know at what weight to start new exercises?

I change my workouts every 3 to 4 weeks, sometimes i change every week. Your body gets use to doing the same thing and will stop growing if you don't change every once in awhile. I do this when on or off. If you are a powerlifter worry about the strength but most bodybuilders are more worried about making gains in muscle not strenght.

I change my chest routine every 3 weeks and all my other routines every 6 weeks at most.

Also depends on what type of juice you are using. If you are on drol you probably want to take advantage of the strength through water retention and do lots of very heavy compound movements.

I always change up my workout. Even if your taking A.S you still can change the order in which you hit your muscle groups or change the order of your routine(hit incline bench rather than flatbench first). Your body will still adapt to the same workout with or without A.S. So change things up and have fun with it.

Hey fellas,
Ya i change my routine up too. Its a good idea because it shocks the muscle so they wont get used to the usual sets and reps being done. I had a football coach who thought this was a good idea and did this rather often. Its great for strength gains. I suggest some of you guys that are hitting a plateu for certain lifts, change it up, it will help. I hit a plateu in bench a while back and changed my routine. I went up 20 pounds on bench in three weeks natural. I think it is a great idea to change your routine halfway into a cycle, Later fellas!!!!!!!

well changing the routine is okay, but you know what, the bottom line is you must really punish your muscle, and work it out throughly, I suggest a 8-15 rep program that you do a wide variety of sets and exercises, I was reading an article in jeff eversons planet muscle, and it was talkin about bringing the second head out on the bicep, he said you must, you must do all exercies to fully hit your muscles, when I do biceps I do:
straight bar curls
alternate db curls
cable curls
hammer curls
reverse grip camber curls
camber curls
preacher curls
concentration curls
As you can see this is alot of exercises, but let me say I do work my tris and bis together, doing the tricep first, on my arm workout I do a combined total of 46 sets or so for bis and tris, this is an example of high intense training, with an array of supersets, heavy and trisets, this is the way to get maximum separation, size and thickness and hardness, the key is to punish the muscle at all angles, and if you look the bicep lifts do exactly that, outer, inner, and the whole muscle, so remember, its not just lifting the weight it is visualizing in your mind what you are doing, and making the muscles grow with your mind. here is my tricep workout or lifts, remember I do this before bis, actually I start my bis after my third set of triceps:

superset of closegrip bench and reverse grip bench
cable pushdowns
kickbacks
skullkrushers
one arm reverse pulldown on cable
rope extension cable
one arm rope extension on cable
behind head tricep extension
dips or close grip incline pushups

as you can see this is a arm killer, but this is an example of hitting all areas of the muscle, a must for the look of an experienced and good amatuer level bb

wc I see what you are sayin, but if you look at my workout, then there is not much to change except the order of exercises, because I am doing almost all exercises one can do, there are more exercises but in my routine I have pretty much done all. so the order is all that needs changing.
