I try to grill a steak every night before bed. I think you should hit up the real food at night. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You need something to go with that whey. Otherwise, it's going to be out of your system in a couple of hours. I'd either combine it with caseinate for a 70/30 mixture or take it with some solid food.

casine is good. i have a protein that has 5 different proteins in it. if your metabolism is fast like mine, whey goes straight through you. i take whey alone, and about 30 minutes later i'm starving again. the protein i have takes 4 hour to go through. it's fucking good, the best protein i've ever had. i found one that i'm sticking with. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

usually a can of tuna and a glass of milk at bedtime. The high tryptophan content helps me sleep well. ------------------ It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. Don't squat with your spurs on. I always try and have a significant amount of protein before bed. Body tissue grows at its highest rate during this time therefore it makes sense to facilitate this growth with adequate protein. I always try and take it with some fat (Flax, Safflower etc) this slows down assimlation and stops the old 'protein pump'! ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I use a casienate mixed protein at night for slower absorption through the night. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I take 75 grams of protein before bed with a few caps of CLA to add some extra fat. The protein I use has the 5 different types (it's called High5) it has fast releasing and slow releasing so that's why I take a bit extra. Seems to work great for recovery while building and has worked great while I have been dieting and doing cardio. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Protein b4 bed is essential. However it should either be from a food source containing some fat(to help slow digestion)or if in powder form should contain some casein and/or be used w/ a fat such as flax oil. This will allow a slow release of protein into your system while u sleep.Actually, some of my best gains were made when I woke up in the middle of the night 4 another protein drink! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Protien synthesis in my opinion is greatest while sleeping because of the rested state your body is in. The day to day rigors of being awake sap protien to accomodate your bodies needs. While sleeping, your heart rate is at a more rested rate and because your body is inactive, protien goes right to damaged muscle tissue to repair it in a more efficient manner. At night and in the morning are the best times for PROTIEN POWDER intake. Your body will function and thrive on actual food protiens ie.. tuna, turkey, eggs throughout the day. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
