Last year one of the muscle mags printed an article on Flex's pre-contest diet. It listed what he ate something like 8 weeks out, all the way up to the day of the contest. I remember reading it and looking at the list. It listed his diet as something like:

Breakfast: 12 egg whites

snack: protein drink

Lunch: 2 chicken breasts
small salad, no dressing

dinner: 2 chicken breasts OR
2 cans of tuna (plain)
2 tablespoons of flax oil

Obviously this is an extremely low carbohydrate diet. Does anybody remember this article? How many of you believe this is what he actually eats before a show?

That amount of food would not even support the muscle mass of his right calf let alone his entire body. I doubt it. I would venture a guess he consumes far more than that with all AS in him. I think a typical diet for these guys is most equvilant to our bulking food consumption.

That's a crock of shit unless unless that was his crash diet between the Schwarzenegger Classic and the Ironman last year. Remember that? But I think he went zero carbs for 7 days to come back and beat Cormier. (At least that's what they said.)

Bro I read that article, I think I still have it somewhere, but let me tell tou that it was alot more protein then that. It was only the last week that he ate no carbs and the last day before the show he was allowed one tablespoon of oatmeal (I think). Anyway like it was said earlier what you listed isn't enough to support his calf.

No offense but I would never trust anything you read from FLEX, Musclemag etc...

Especially about the pros. I remember reading somewhere that those 'routines' they have, like 'Markus Ruhls Chest Devastator Routine' or whatever is just a bunch of pics of the exercises he looks best doing and then the writer throws a routine together.

I read an article a few years back stating his pre-contest diet(I dont remember how long he sticks with this)is:

Meals 1-6: 2chicken breasts w/tatter tots

I really doudt he could stick with this type of boring eating for long.
