I would think it's more indicative to dihydrotestosterone levels.
Think of it this way, test makes a bull ACT like a bull.
Dihydro test makes a bull LOOK like a bull.

Characteristics of high dihydrotest is male pattern baldness and (ironically) hairy arms, back, etc.

No one knows for sure the reason or cause of acne. Is it due to high test levels or is it due to fluctuating hormone levels or is it due to excessive estrogen levels?

Baldness is not necessarily due to high testosterone levels. In fact many men who suffer from hair loss may have normal or sub-normal testosterone levels.

The most significant cause of hairloss is perhaps the number of androgen receptors (AR) in the scalp. If you have a high number of ARs in your scalp, then any type of androgen (testosterone, DHT, DHEA, andrestenediol, etc.) will cause hairloss. If your scalp has a very few ARs, then no amount of androgen will cause you to lose hair.

Hairloss research is really in its infancy. Androgens have been implicated as the cause of hairloss currently and play a major role in inducing it but there are many other factors that researchers are just beginning to understand.

Actually medical research has proven that naturally bald men in their 30's and 40's have a higher testosterone level than men with full heads of hair. Acne is also one side effect of higher than normal test levels in most people.

"Naturally occuring" acne and hairloss have next to nothing to do with testosterone levels, but more to do with genetics and sensitivity. Hairloss is caused by DHT. Regardless of a high or low level of DHT in the body, hairloss depends on an individuals SENSITIVITY to DHT. The same holds true for GYNO...some are sensitive to it, and some are not. As far as acne is concerned, skin type has more to do with it than hormones do. Someone with oily skin is much more sensitive than someone without. So to answer your question "Do people with naturally occuring acne or hairloss have higher test levels?", the answer is NO.

The question was "Is natural hairloss indicative of natually high test levels?" More often than not, men displaying male pattern baldness display naturally higher levels of testorsterone in their blood than corrsponding men with full heads of hair. This is not meant to undermine the importance of genetics in any way. Obviously, you must be genetically predisposed towards baldness to find yourself experiencing it (in natural cases.)
However, DHT is created by the conversion of testosterone into that androgen (DHT) which has the ability to bind to receptors in the follicles, which, in turn triggers a change in the genetic activity of the cells-initiating the gradual process of hair loss. The more natural testosterone your blood supply carries the more conversion into the damaging androgen DHT. It doesn't mean men with pattern baldness can't have lower levels of testosterone-it just means that compared to men with full heads of hair, they more often than not, have higher natural levels. The answer should not be a firm NO- it is more accurate to say that IN MANY CASES,and when compared directly to men experiencing no male pattern baldness,YES.
