Thanks WarL for the stats on the show. I'm with ironb though.......can't believe Priest placed so low but then again I don't think he is exactly Mr. Popularity. Look forward to meeting him nonetheless in April. He will be guest posing at a contest my buddy promotes. Titus guest posed that same show in 2000. He was awesome and even went out and partied with us a little afterward.

WarLobo - What were you wearing and what do you look like? I was there with 2 friends of mine. My one friend was a black guy. He is pretty built. 280 maybe, about 6 foot. He was wearing a black leather jacket that had a big FLEX logo on the back. I had a black jacket on that had a yellow logo that said Fitness Pros. I probobly saw you there. I was looking at all the big guys walking around. Did you see Jay Culter? That guy looked thick. I was there for the pre-judging and the night show. It was my first ever pro show i've gone to and I had a blast. Late

Lee was not in top form. I, or rather we, as I was with two NPC judges, were thinking that he may just be warming up for the Arnold. And Ive heard rumors that his heart condition is not any better.

J.D. was the best I've ever seen him. I liked him better than King Tomalley. (hehe)

Chris is getting better and better.

From what I know he has an on going heart condition of some sort. Don't know any other details as this stuff is not talked about very much. He may need to re-think his show schedual. More than one person thought it was a bad move on his part to even enter this show.

From those pics Cormier is the clear winner. Kamali looks good though and just from those pics, was in better condition and fuller than Melvin. Marko has the potential to do major damage, but obviously was off. Priest should have waited until he was 100%. He has known of his enlarged heart for 3 years or so, it has just now started to give him problems. Nothing serious though from what I've been told, at least not yet. J.D. also was overlooked and should have made top 5.

He did make the top five, he was forth, and I thought he should have placed third.

Melvin just has a damn good balanced package, this seems more important on the west coast. The east coast tendency is for more mass. In which case I don't think Melvin would have placed as high.

Personally I like this west coast criteria of a more symmetrical look.

One thing I did notice was that no one had calves that were eye poppers.

Ive also looked at many of the photos on-line and can tell you that seeing the real thing in person does make one HELL of a big difference. Seeing all the call outs, each man side by side, can really make the differences very obvious. Photos dont give you that third dimension thickness. The way some muscle look so damn hard and full, or how they look a tad softer and smoother. You get to see who is overly sweating on stage (an indication that they are holding way to much water good tip all you competitors). How when they relax a moment that the gut sticks way out (not good - always keep it tight. This is way obvious on the double back poses, sometimes the judges will see if the can see the bellies sticking out from behind)

From my many years in the judging field I have learn one very important rule, just because the judges call for a certain pose, it does not necessarily mean that they are looking at that specific area.

I would really like to see the score cards, sometimes I can get them, sometimes not.
