What do you think, what is better?

Do you know lots of pro/con's of free weights and machines?

Reply please!

i think that free weights and machines can both be utilized. they each have pros and cons, some movements are better done with freeweights, and some are not possible with free weights. for instance, i would never trade free weight bench press for machine bench press, but, i would much rather use a Lat-Pullover machine than do a dumbell pullover lying on a bench... just my opinion...

yes i agree, both are good. you have to combine stuff but your workout should center on free weights, and then use machines.

Free Weights all the way, leave the machines for some assistance work. On second though screww the assistance work and just work on the big three, tehn gradually add to it.

MACHINES=MASS!!!! JK, man. Stay with free weights 95% of the time, especially if you are trying to put on mass and are a hard gainer. Like Corruptor said though, there are a few exercises that I would choose a machine or cables over free weights. For me, an example would be dumbbell flies vs. cable flies. The resistance dies at the top of the motion when doing dumbbell flies whereas the the resistance stays the same using cables. Hence, I get a much better pump using cables or pec deck. Like I said, this is the exception to the rule however. If you're ever in doubt, go with free weights.
