I'm starting to hate hushmail. I'm always haveing a problem and something is always getting fucked up. Does anyone else agree?     | ||

Not quite sure what this has to do with this forum, but yeah, I agree it has its downsides. Although, mainly what you are referring to is the free service at hushmail.com - they are a company out of Ireland and it is hard to justify having a free service and even harder to justify throwing more resources at it (hardware and people). They also have a paid service (that is what elitefitness goes through). The free service in their eyes justifies its existance in that people see it, like it and will likely licesnse the paid version. But the free service has its downside in that it is slow and not always there, not something you really want in a mail service. But like I mentioned a bunch of times - it is free... what more do you want? If you can think of a better way, learn to program, and write said better way and then make it public - then you are doing something constructive - otherwise you are just complaining about something that is free. ------------------ | ||

i dislike hushmail as well...i have a horrible internet connection and it takes more than 5 minutes just to check my mail sometime..and what really got me off of it was a few months ago i was down for about 3 weeks straight... ------------------ | ||

Well, I can't say that I've ever had a problem with hush. I have with hotmail though, but hotmail is crap in my opinion. Personally, I like hush & stealth messaging, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. ------------------ | ||

Scrappy, I think it should be obvioius what this has to do with this forum. I know hushmail is free, I never said it was a rip-off. I was merely stating that I was dissatisfied with their service. And then you claim that I should write my own computer program??? That is like saying since Brovel is relatively cheap no one should complain about the underdosing, instead they should start their own superiour pharmasutical company. Do you own stock in Hushmail or something? | ||

Nope - I don't own stock in hushmail - in fact, I hate hushmail and don't use their free service. But I looked at myself complaining about it and realized it was stupid - it is a FREE service. what the hell to you expect from it. and Brovel may be cheap, but you still pay for it - therefore you have any right at all to be dissatisfied with not getting your money's worth. and then to further point out that anaogy is lacking - in order to write your own program, it would be roughly free in order to do so - you already have a computer, you have net access, and the rest is all a matter of learning (you can write it in java and all that is free). whereas with your brovel example, well, starting my own pharmacy isn't so much free. all I wanted to point out was that starting a thread in an anabolic discussion forum about how you hate a free mail service might just be wasteful of time and resources - but then hey, I'm sitting here replying to it. ------------------ | ||

I have had good service with Hushmail. Somedays when I check my mail it is INCREDIBLY slow, so I just come back at a later time in the day when it is faster. My only problem is that there is so much crap you have to do to get to your mail. I have to minimize AOL, launch IE, then login say "yes" to downloading the JAVA applet and type in my passphrase just to find out I have no mail. But all in all I am happy with it. And I use the free service. I would never pay for email. |
