Anabolic steroids work by being anti-catabolic. We exercise our muscles which breaks them down and they get built up bigger. Steroids stop this break down. OK guys tell me if I am wrong. In the 4 weeks or so after a cycle, wouldn't it be best to not do any exercise at all which puts pressure on our muscles, in order to limit muscle breakdown during the catabolic phase? No heavy work, just light activity, i.e. nothing more strenuous than walking. Secondly, clenbuterol attenuates after 2 weeks. Does this only apply to its fat burning effect? does it remain anticatabolic after it has stopped being a good fat burner, or does it stop being anti-catabolic after 2 weeks too? I don't care about its thermogenic effects post-cycle, only its anti-catabolic characteristics. Thirdly, since steroids cause an electrolyte imbalance, would it be a good idea to take a magnesium and (if you can find one) a potassium supplement to counter-balance the sodium retention? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks guys. | ||

No you shoudnt stop training but you should change your style of training. Do not try to make new records. Lift and train to help maintain what you have gained. Remember if you do not provide any stimulus to your muscles after your cycle then they are going to do all they can to get back to their original size. Yes use magnesium and pottasium but just get a good multi vit & mineral and take that 2-3 times a day. If you can keep your body in an anabolic or anti catabolic state after your cycle is ended then this is the way to go about keeping almost all of your gains. Minus the water that is. Use clen for 3 weeks for its anticatabolic properties after your cycle but you can also use clen for 2 and eca for 2, it is also anti-catabolic. | ||

Yes.I learned this after many years of trial and error.Whenever I come off,I take a week or two of complete rest,and I always maintain much more strength and size that way as opposed to trying to "fight" my way around the body's processes of restoring homeostasis.Rest/relaxation/recovery post cycle does wonders.... | ||

My personal experience here. I train the week following the cycle because in most cases the drugs are still active. Then I take a week off...completely. Your body needs a rest to recuiperate from all the stress just induced upon it for the past couple months of vigorous training. You won't loose your mass in one week...contrary to what many beleive. It will actually help your muslce heal better so they will be better off in the long run. | ||

My post cycle catibolic phase has been increasing my one rep max to 305 for 1 to 305 for 3. No shit use the hardgainers workout in the articals it works almost as good as steroids. Have been using 100mg clomid ed,creatine and increasing protine intake and my body is responding like it never has befor. By the way I know 305 3 times aint shit but I only weigh 170 give me some time. | ||

Take a couple weeks off after the cycle (while taking the Clomid). Then go heavy and intensive (with plenty of rest between workouts). Clen stays anticatabolic but loses its fat burning ability after 2 weeks. So that is why you should cycle it with ECA for fat burning. You should be filling your body with vitamins year-round. I take 6-9 days off after hitting up a good cycle. Along with some good natural supps, I think that you can make a return and kepp much of your gains effectivly. | ||
