Is there anything I can do, besides heat and ice? Right in my forearms.

Peace

Bump. I get deep pain down to the bone in my forearm when I do heavy curls, or skull crushers. I've heard it may be tendonitis. Any advice?

Hammers kill me. 4 advils is a good dose to acts as an anti-imflamitory. Ice after every workout. Do movements that dont effect it that much. I dont do hammers, heavy dumbells, or wide chest hammer strength. those movements agrivate the tendon.

My Doc gave me Celibrex (anti-inflamitory) and refered me on to a Orthopedic specialist. I see him next week.

If you are willing to try the herbal route, there are three supplements that can be of benefit:

1) & 2) Glucosamine/Chondritin stack
3) MSM

The amount of information available on these three substances is tremendous. Google will help you find them.

There is also a topical version of Glucosamin that you can apply to the areas that are in pain. It is called Jointritus. I think Walgreen carries it.

Hope this helps.

yep, my elbows have been killing me for the past three weeks, especiall yif it has anything to do with Tricep work, Aye Currrumba.

The feeling in your guys forearms, does it still really hurt bad when you let go of the grip of the bar ? If so its not tendonitus, its more like shin splints where there is a stress related injusy, but not quite a fracture.

i hear you,
her is what that willl do the work,
ask your doctor to prescribe you VIOXX
the active substance is Rofecoxib 25mg.
its therapeutic activity is as Anti-inflamatory and analgesic which acts by inhibiting a substance in the body known as COX-2.indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, relif of acute pain, and treatment of menstrual pain.
its pretty expensive about 28$ per 10 tabs but definatly worth it.
worked well for me

Corleone, the same thing happened to me a few years ago. Doctor told me that the muscle was tearing away from my bone because I was growing too fast and curling too much. I tried every pain killer with no success. Anti-inflammatories helped, but the only thing that stopped the problem for me was to stop doing any lift that involved those muscle groups for 2 weeks, then I gradually started working the muscles again...VERY SLOWLY. I know it sucks, but it was the only thing that worked for me. After about two months I was back to my normal routine and size, and today I still have no pain there anymore.

Thanks Biopsychfitness: It just sucks because right now I'm at the beginning of a bulking cycle, Which is going very nicely by the way up 16 pounds and climbing fast. I don't want to quit working heavy on bi's and tris right now because that would suck. I think I'll just push through the pain until I'm done, then I'll take a weeks rest, like you should do after a cycle. Then after that rest I'll go real easy on the exercises that hurt me. Thanks for the help bro!
