It is amazing what one can find on the net. But that aside,
"someone" failed to realize the difference between the "morning after pill" which was recently made available OTC in the UK and "mifeprex" (aka ru-486) a chemical abortion that requires a physician and follow up treatment with mipristol. This is still the case, this has not changed, one need only ask the NHS.

Thank you Sir. So when someone says he is on 1000mgs of deca and walked into Boots and purchased some RU 486 then it is all placebo that is giving him no sides? Interesting findings.

the Morning after pill is:

Emergency postcoital contraception, a method used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse, is a highly effective but underutilized birth control option. Two hormone regimens, ethinyl estradiol (100 g) with levonorgestrel (0.5 mg) or high-dose levonorgestrel (0.75 mg), given within 72 hours of intercourse and repeated 12 hours later, are available for this purpose.

the former is used in the uk. that is comprised of an estrogen and a progestin (really just a strong dose of birth control pills)

Would his highness Mr. Macro please
look under the trade name Mifegyne
please. I get it OTC, and so do some other
people. I know about the "morning-after".
It is simply a high dose of estrogens.
Now, if you live in the UK, there are some
pharmacies that do not sell it OTC due to
ethical reasons.(Or so they say). There is a
pretty bick debate going on in the UK
egarding RU-486 and the pro-life people.
Macro, no offense but it DOES help to live
in the UK. Surfing the net is one thing, but
that doesn't tell you all you have to know.
So run along now.......

Godspeed

Interesting

though I knew that you were incorrect

to verify this I had someone go to several chemists- thats right I actually know people in the UK.
guess what
but then again you already know what

some additional info
MIFGYNE
from the pages of the NHS

Early medical abortion (the 'abortion pill'): before 12 weeks
This treatment consists of three small tablets of a drug called Mifegyne (generic name: mifepristone, also known as RU486) taken together with water in the presence of a doctor. The drug works by blocking the action of the hormone that makes the lining of the uterus hold on to the fertilised egg. The woman will be required to rest at the clinic for two hours to make sure that the tablets have been properly absorbed. Another appointment will then be made for two days' time. During that time, some bleeding may occur.

At the second visit to the clinic, a small pessary containing a prostaglandin - a hormone-like substance that causes uterine contractions and allows the cervix to soften and widen - is placed in the vagina. The resulting contractions are generally mild, often felt as strong, period-like pains. As the lining of the uterus breaks down, the bleeding usually starts. The woman will then have to stay in the clinic for the next six hours, during which time most abortions take place. The embryo is lost in the bleeding, the same thing that happens in a natural early miscarriage.

Bleeding will continue for about 12 days; in some cases, it will be heavy. The woman must go back to the clinic six weeks later to ensure that the abortion is complete.

Despite the fact that this treatment has been available for several years, only 10% of early abortions are performed in this way. This is because many doctors are still unfamiliar with it and many hospitals don't provide it. While women seem to like the fact that the technique does not require any surgical intervention, it is not a short procedure and the two-day delay may be off-putting. Also, some women feel that too little is known about the long-term effects of the drug.

from regent park health care clinic:

"WHAT IS RU486 or MIFEGYNE? It's a drug which is used in conjunction with Gemeprost, a prostaglandin pessary, to induce a miscarriage without the need for an operation. Like a surgical abortion, it is only offered within the terms of the 1967 Abortion Act and you need to attend a registered clinic or hospital for the treatment."

If someone from the UK
could perhaps post a pic of the "mysteriously" aquireable Mifegyne
pehaps they could include the deca bottle in the pic, just to verify.
