and I'm talking DEEP, TRUE squats here. My personal best is about 37 with a close stance, rock bottom. First 20-25 nonstop. High reps are KILLER...

Figures! What are they? They mean absolutely nothing. No flame but who cares how much someone can squat or bench or curl. It means nothing

Yeah, I could do that too if I weighed 150lbs! LOL, just kidding! I weigh about 210lbs, and have squatted 225lbs for 35 reps before. The last few were a little shaky, so maybe we should call it 30 reps though. I've seen a friend of mine squat 225, 47 times once. We would also time each other to see how many reps we could do in a minute using different weights. He got 225, 30 times in a minute, and 135, 70 times in a minute. Obviously though, when doing that form isn't exactly perfect.

Solid Steel, if you see a thread that you think is worthless, here is something to think about: DONT READ IT. Dont feel the need to leave pissy comments on every thread, what interests me I will write about.

Did I say your thread was worthless? Admit you are wrong. I merely stated the number of times someone can squat, bench or curl means not too much. Unless you are a pl. Thank you and hope you have a good day.

BBers don't need to brag about big numbers to be good, but they still do. who doesn't take a certain measure of pride in tossing yet another wheel on the bar? no flame indeed... you've insulted anyone who has ever strugled under a heavy weight. to say that numbers mean nothing except to PLers is to take away the most basic of lifting pleasers.

I know a cheerleader who, at 190, squatted 225 for 60reps- he stopped because he had done more than the football team ((top 10) division I) record.

in his case height 5'7 and genetics played a extensive role. Why do I say this, because he rarely trained legs at all.

Wow, I read somewhere about this German guy doing 225 for 74 consecutive reps or something at the FIBO a few years ago. wow!

Anyone see Joe DeAngelis on the Powerlifter video do 500 for 20? Awesome, no wraps - just belt if I remember right...

There is this short stocky powerlifter at my gym that squats like 6 plates a side! Incredible...People actually stop their workout and just stare at him! It looks like he weighs about a buck-50.

even though my max full squat is much higher than my bench, I can rep out more at 225 on the bench. My low back just cramps up on squat sets over 8.
