first off the study done in 2 thicks post is pure bullshit, arnold says in the "new modern encyclopedia of bb" that in order to achieve fullnes, separation, and mass and all that other good stuff you must do a combination of tri-sets, supersets and heavy training also. I have the firsthand experience of watching the pros train everyday, and we are all diff, but I will tell you that 3 sets and even a 12 set workout isnt shit, arnold says you must.....and I quote, if you are an advanced bodybuilder you must do 20-24 sets per body part, so that is say 48 sets if you work your bis and tris in the same day. So look I personally think the post and the article study is bullshit...........and for the other guy, hey bro move back to LA wont it be much nicer to be 2 hours from mexico, you never run out.

Personally, I believe that variety is everything in training. There is a place for one set heavy duty training, high rep/high volume training, pyramiding, powerlifting type training, olympic lifting, and everything in between. In a lifetime in the gym, the key is to constantly shock the muscle into new growth by changing up the routine regularly. There is no absolute right or wrong.

I think you take too much for granted. First 2Thick was not promoting the idea just passing along information from a reliable source. The AAHPER group is a reliable and respected source. The only thing that should be said about thier work is that they don't believe steriods work. Or that is the official line. I know I have a degree in exercise physiology. When I was an undergrad the joke was that the professors and the books said that roids had no real affect and we knew that was the politically correct answer. Even though it was totally wrong. So take the article with a grain of salt.

Don't put off to tomorrow what you can do today.

If you enjoy it today you can always do it again tomorrow.

This is an intelligent response to a very short-sided post. It is nice to see open-minded and bright people on the board.
