My forearms and wrists are killing. It is not the muscle but deeper down. It feels exactly the same as shin-splints do. I don't think I will be able to workout until they stop hurting.

Have any idea what it might be??

Peace
DrZ

When I was a teen I used to be a pitcher in baseball. After about two years I got diagnosed with tendonitas (spelling?) Anyway's, whenever I do preacher curls, or throw anything hard I get the same pain that sometimes last for a whole week. This may be what you have, I would go see a doc about it because you are a serious weight trainer and heavy weights could fuck ya real quick

I get that once in a while when I lift heavy. Just don't do curls or anything else that hurts it for about 2 weeks. It should go away after that.

rogeo on the curls. There is a lot of tissue that binds the the ulna and the radius of the forarm together. This tissue can become inflamed and curls are a bitch. Lighten the curls and do a lot of therepy on the arms. Wrap heat and ice massage.

I read an article on this once. That is, people getting shin-splint like symtoms in their forearms. This is mainly due to movements like the preacher curl. The way the radius and ulna work with your humorous(spelling) entails that your forearm move in a circular sweep on the way up and down. The preacher curl, and other barbell curls sometimes restrict this, and as a result, people sometimes get muscle and fascia aches along, and between the radius and ulna from the damage done to them. I would suggest only doing movements where your arms are independently moving, at least until your forearms feel better. Good luck.
