Who's responsible for this woman's health (25yrs). She's horribly annorexic and she works out--every single day (7xweek), only cardio of course, like a fiend. She's a walking skeleton. (and she's not a ballerina--she's clearly annorexic--Ray Charles could see that!) You can almost hear her bones rattle when she walks. Should somebody say something? After all, annorexia nervosa is a form of suicide-only much slower than a gun--would you stop somebody from jumping off a ledge?? Or pulling a trigger on a gun in their mouth?? What's different here? Maybe the gym manager should carefully call this gurl aside and speak with her. Anybody have comments, advice or experience with this??     | ||

you have to be really careful with what you say. Anorexia is a disease that effects the mind, it's victims are very often deceived by themselves. If you tell her she looks bad she'll wanna look worse. Don't tell her she looks good either, she'll take that the wrong way. My sister was in and out of 3 different hospitals, and over $100,000 was spent on hosptial bills and none of it did a damn thing. I turned to God for help, I took her to church and prayed quite a bit for her. Today she is healthy again. When she was bad, she was down to 52 lbs at 5'0". If you care enough, reach out and just say hi to her, give her a friend... If you believe in God pray for her... | ||

Yeah, I am sure some $8.00 and hour dip-shit gym manager really would know all the right things to say to her. She needs professional help, and I am sure her real friends and family have noticed and tried to say something. It is out of your hands. ------------------ | ||

My woman has an eating disorder, and I can tell you firsthand that there isn't shit you can say to her that will make a difference except "Hi, how are you doing?". Definitely do not comment on how thin she is, or anything about her physical appearance. The only person who can help her is her alone. Sooner or later most women with eating disorders come to the point where they realize they need to change their patterns and get better, but some die from it...it is entirely up to that individual which one is going to happen. | ||

There's this one girl at my gym, I always thought she was anorexic. She's got a unique build. She's real skinny, however, she must be honestly at about 3-5% bodyfat. Her cheeks and eyes are "slightly" sunken. Her arms must me about 9 inches around, but she's all solid muscle. It's just weird. We got to talking one day because we were both on the treadmill (which she always does, like about an hour a day) and this dumb kid next to us was running with his eyes closed cause the sweat was pouring in them, and he eventually fell off the back. Turns out we had some stuff in common, she was pretty cool, told me how her 62 year old dad could beat her in a 100 meter dash. | ||

i went through an aeting disorder with a girlfriend...it is best to leave for professionals to help, if you are truly interested be her frined...do not coment on her body, but just be nice... | ||

theres this one chic that eats at a buffet i usually go to, its all you can eat, this girl piles food on her plate like theres no tomorrow, plate after plate, then to top it off she gets a plate full of ice cream, cookies,pie, its really sad, shes thin as a rail, the sad thing is shes gorgeous, it sorta makes you feel helpless, what can you do??????????? | ||
