score the neck with a file, and snap the top off with your thumb... | ||

with a hammer...he he he Really the best way is to take a paper towel put it in your fist and with the other finger make a opening, then put the amp in and with another paper towel folded up snap the neck...... never broke one!!!!!!!! make sure when you put the amp in your fist it goes to the base of the neck! ------------------ | ||

Easy bro....first, lay the amp down on its side..then take a ball peen hammer and tap firmly until it breaks open. LOL...sorry, horrible attempt at being humorous. Really though, I just take a pen cap(like off a bic) and put it over the top of the amp. Then snap the top off. Some people score the neck with a file first, which would probably be a good idea, but i never did. Good luck. ------------------ | ||

If you hold the bottom of the amp firmly, near the neck, and then use the cap, it breaks clean 90% of the time. Here's another trick. Sometimes the glass doesn't break perfectly. There will be a little notch or dip in the edge, and you might see glass in the bottom of the amp. After you break the amp and notice the glass fragments in the bottom of the amp, grab your load syringe with your other hand. With steady (not fast) motion, turn the amp over. Yes, over where the opening is pointing down! The amp pulls a vaccum on the liquid, so it won't pout out. The glass fragments stay in the bottom of the amp. Now pull the liquid out with your syringe, keeping the center of the needle in the middle of the gear. Don't worry as you pull you will see air bubbles, they won't hurt anything, and you'll not lose any gear or get any glass. Try it, then confirm on this thread that it works. No one believes me until they try it. ------------------ | ||
