I am argueing the reason steroids are illegal is primary because of infatuation in sports in this country. In otherwords congress really made them illegal because they didn't want people "cheating" in sports but they say the reason they put them as a class III substance is because of medical side effects. And the whole law is hyprocrytical especially when alcohol and tobacco are legal when they have been proven without a doubt all the bad things that can happen with use. Now for the info I need from ya'll. They want a cite or some "facts" that clomid helps retain the gains you get from a cycle. Because they think that if you lose all your size whats the point of doing them in the first place? Do ya'll have some cites or facts on this? Thanks. Also if you have some other cites that show that short term steroid use really doesn't have any harmful side effects, that would be useful too. ![]() ![]() ![]()

http://www.steroidlaw.com/lawswork.htm http://www.steroidlaw.com/healthrisks.htm This is an excerpt from Tmag, Brock Strasser is interviewing Rick Collins the guy that started the STEROIDLAW.com site RC: Back in the 1970s and 1980s, federal regulation of anabolic steroids came under the jurisdiction of the Food and Drug Administration under the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Anabolic steroids were required to be prescribed and dispensed by licensed physicians but weren't scheduled as controlled substances. It's often overlooked, however, that black-market drug trafficking of anabolic steroids was already illegal before anabolics became classified as controlled substances. Under 1988 legislation amending the Food and Drug Act, criminal penalties were specifically set forth for traffickers in anabolic steroids for non-medical reasons. This Anti-Drug Abuse Act would have enabled effective enforcement against those illegally dispensing steroids and black-market dealers, including application of federal forfeiture laws, without classifying steroids as controlled substances. But, in the mid-1980s, media reports of the increasing use of anabolic steroids in sports, including a "silent epidemic" of high school steroid use, came to the attention of the US government. Congress grew particularly concerned with steroid use among high school students and top amateur athletes. Certain Between 1988 and 1990, Congressional hearings were held to determine whether the Controlled Substances Act should be amended to include anabolic steroids, along with more serious drugs like cocaine and heroin. The majority of witnesses who testified, including medical professionals and representatives of regulatory agencies (the FDA, the DEA, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse), recommended against the proposed amendment to the law. Even the American Medical Association repeatedly and vehemently opposed it, maintaining that steroid abuse doesn't lead to the physical or psychological dependence required for scheduling under the Controlled Substances Act! BS: Wait a minute, if most of the experts were against scheduling steroids as controlled substances, why did Congress do it? RC: A review of the transcripts of the hearings suggests that health-risk concerns were secondary considerations to Congress. The most influential witnesses who testified were representatives from either amateur or professional athletics. Their testimony and, apparently, the main concern of Congress focused on legislating a solution to athletes who "cheated" with steroids in sports competitions. Congress devised a solution-amending the Controlled Substances Act-and planned to proceed with or without the blessing of the DEA or the medical community. As a result, steroids stand out as an anomaly among the codeine derivatives, central nervous system depressants, and stimulants that form the rest of the Schedule-III substances. The Anabolic Steroids Control Act of 1990 was signed into law by President Bush as part of the Omnibus Crime Control Bill. The law applies in every federal court across the country. It places steroids in the same legal class-Schedule III-as amphetamines, methamphetamines, opium, and morphine. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

This definetely proves my point that sports are the reason gear is illegal not medical side affects. Thanks freak monster. How about the use of clomid in helping keep the gains made on gear? ![]() ![]() ![]()

Clomid is a brand name for the drug clomiphene citrate. It is typically prescribed for women to aid in ovulation. In men, the application causes an elevation of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone. As a result, natural testosterone production is also increased. This effect is obviously beneficial to the athlete, especially at the conclusion of a cycle when endogenous testosterone levels are subnormal. When an athlete discontinues the use of steroids, his testosterone levels will most likely be suppressed. If endogenous testosterone levels are not brought to normal, a dramatic loss in size and strength may occur. Clomid plays a crucial role in preventing this crash in athletic performance. Bodybuilders find that a daily intake of 50-100 mg of clomiphene citrate over a two week period will bring endogenous testosterone production back to an acceptable level. It will gradually raise testosterone levels over its period of intake. Since an immediate boost in testosterone is often desirable, athlete will commonly use HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) for a couple of weeks, and the continue treatment. Clomid is also effective as an anti-estrogen. Most athletes will suffer from an elevated estrogen level at the conclusion of a cycle. A high estrogen level combined with a low testosterone level puts an athlete in serious risk of developing gynocomastia. With the intake, the athlete gets the dual effect of blocking out some of the effects of estrogen, while also increasing endogenous testosterone production. In relation to toxicity and side effects, It is considered a fairly safe drug. Bodybuilders seldom experience any problems, but possible side effects include hot flashes and temporary blurred vision. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Freak, More good info. Say someone does a cycle and gains 25 pounds of mass. How many pounds would they keep by using clomid?(I know this would be different to do different criteria but just say an average) This is a tough board I am debating on. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I mean it's different for each person and also depends what drug you do. Lets say you gain 20 pounds on A-bombs and Test 5-10 pounds of that gain will probably be water weight and you will most likely lose about half of it. Also I can do Primo and put on a solid 5 pounds and keep it. Again it just really depends on your diet, what drugs you come off with and your intensity in the gym after your cycle determines how much weight you really keep. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
