I just ordered it from Amizon.com. What do you guys think of that book. I'm looking for lots of facts and details (the science) about the keto diet. I really hope the book isn't just a book simply stating the diet plan.

I haven't read it, I have the Bodyopus book. Lyle's paper's on the net seem pretty solid however. Would be nice if we could lure him here.

It's a SOILID book. Lyle basically took bodyopus and fined tuned it. He explained many of the things Duchaine left to assume. He has sample workouts, sample cardio workouts, glycemic index, recommendations for food to use on the carb up, supplement recommendations, etc. He even included formulas to calculate mmol of blodd sugar (glycogen) so you can tell how many sets to perform to enter ketoland. I e-mail him frequently, he is a good guy we had a blast at the arnold classic last year....

Pretty solid book, and Lyle has a lot of knowledge about the subject. He is a regular over on the misc.fitness.weights newsgroup.

Good book, but not as good as his next book which goes more into the hormone 'leptin' which basically restarts a damaged low-metabolism so that you can prevent muscle loss along with continuing to burn fat. If you noticed at 'misc.fitness.weight' Lyle was on a diet for a long time and he made a new discovery over the summer, which helped him lose that last bit of fat that gave him that lean look.

Leptin is heavily described by others such as guru Elzi Volk, and has helped me continue to burn fat. The really cool thing is that a few a supps and periodic refeeds is all that is needed to bring the hormone 'leptin' back up.
