...Staying Low-Key. The last thing our sub-culture needs is attention. Mainly because any attention will likely be negative attention. If you want to be left alone then the best thing to do is to pretend that gear is not a problem and hope that the media will get over the whole anti-steroid fad. This coverage should only be picked up again towards the Olympics so keep us under wraps. Remember that law enforcement is a slave to public opinion and if the public forgets about gear and focuses on illicit drugs, we are better off. ------------------ Great Information on Injections and Syringes

I see this crap in the media too. All this shit about steroids being bad and those fucking idoits won't leave it alone. then those dumbass politicians think it is a huge problem and they send those poor cops [who use juicve themselves all of the fucking time] to bust other juicers. This is a fucking joke but we have to stay quiet if we wanna survive.

I agree with you 2thick it is generally only those things that draw the publics attention that law enforcement will attack. However in this country we are looking at four very bad years for people who use any scheduled drugs. Our new president will be putting a spot light on us for his whole term whether we as users are flagrant or not. But that is no reason to make things worse. ------------------

Low key is very important. When I retire from my job I want people in the company to say, "Who's retireing? Never heard of him" ------------------

2Thick- You are right on the money once again. Hopefully press will be light for the winter olympics in regards to AS coverage. It seems that the summer games tend to show a more physical appearance ( warm weather, shorts, tank tops, strenght events). In the winter games you have full body attire that tends to hide the physical( and most noticeable) side. Let's hope this issue goes to sleep. we'll have enought to worry about with the XFL KEEP IT ON THE DOWN LOW KNOWLEDGE IS KING

That's one reason I don't post often. (I don't have a lot of useful input anyway). I've been in the game a long time but prefer to stay real low. Kind of paranoid I guess. I lead a simple life and keep to myself most of the time. The internet is still relatively new to me and I don't feel real comefortable knowing a fed is probably reading my every word right now.

Although I agree with you on many things, I disagree with you on this. Keeping quiet might be good, but while juicers are being quiet (juicers are those who truely know what they are talking about) the media and negative sources of information get the stage to themselves, giving them the opportunity to form the minds of impressionable idiots. I believe that is why steroids have such a negative connotation in the first place. No one has really publicly stepped up and said hey "400,000 people die a year from smoking. That is more than anyone has EVER died from using steroids." I myself have put steroids in class speeches, essays and discussions. Those classmates HAD a "steroids is cheating, steroids are bad" mind frame until I educated them. We need to be as strong as the forces working against us. ------------------

quote: oops for some reason my post didn't show up. anyway, what i said was that I agreed with you 100%. And keeping our mouths shut, while it was keep us out of the spot light, and keep on a low profile, at the same time, by keeping our mouths shut and not doing anything when people spread BS about roids, is the same exact reason they were illegalized to begin with. If more people would take a stand, and tell the Gov. how much BS they are, we could eventually take back our country, maybe I am living in fantasy world, and maybe everything I feel/believe in is a little out there, but everyday when we keep our mouths shut, its just making us more and moer criminals. Instead of being controlled by the government, lets take back our gov., we put these people in office, we can take them out. =) Like I said, maybe I am living in fantasy world, but at least I'm happy in there hehe. "The ideology of a nation is the ideology of the ruling class." --Karl Marx You will not make a dent in what the media says about steroids. It is naive to beleive that you can change people's views without the power of the masses or with powerful forces behind you. ------------------ Great Information on Injections and Syringes

Taken from steroidlaw.com: But even as prosecutions increased, Congress was growing particularly concerned with steroid use among high school students and among top amateur athletes. Certain members representing only a small minority of the medical community began suggesting controlled substance status for anabolic steroids. See, W.N. Taylor, M.D., "Synthetic Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids: A Plea for Controlled Substance Status," The Physician and Sportsmedicine (Vol. 15, Number 5, May 1987). Between 1988 and 1990, Congressional hearings were held to determine whether the Controlled Substances Act should be amended to include anabolic steroids along with more serious drugs like cocaine and heroin. The majority of witnesses who testified, including medical professionals and representatives of regulatory agencies (including the FDA, the DEA and the National Institute on Drug Abuse) recommended against the proposed amendment to the law. Even the American Medical Association repeatedly and vehemently opposed it, maintaining that steroid abuse does not lead to the physical or psychological dependence required for scheduling under the Controlled Substances Act. (The AMA recommended education, not criminalization, to combat steroid abuse.) Nevertheless, Congress scheduled steroids as Schedule III controlled substances under Title 21 of the United States Code, which regulates Food and Drugs. The legislation was called the "Anabolic Steroids Control Act of 1990," Pub. L. No. 101-647, Sec. 1902, 104 Stat. 4851 (1990) (amending 21 U.S.C. 812(c) (1981) to include anabolic steroids). Why did Congress ignore these experts and decide to schedule steroids as Schedule III controlled substances? The focus of the hearings suggests that any "psychologically addictive" properties of anabolic steroids were secondary considerations to Congress. The majority of witnesses who testified at the hearings leading to the legislation were representatives from either amateur or professional athletics. The testimony, and apparently Congress' main concern, focused on legislative action in an effort to solve an athletic "cheating" problem. Congress had a solution in mind - amending the Controlled Substances Act - and planned to proceed with or without the blessing of the DEA or the medical community. As a result, steroids stand out as an anomaly among the codeine derivatives, central nervous system depressants, and stimulants that form the rest of the Schedule III substances. ------------------

You can blame all those jerk-off juiced out baseball players for the latest anti-steroid media panic attack. It all started with Mark McGuire and his Andro use, then the homerun record breaking season, and then all the juiced players showing off their physiques in bodybuilding magazines. ------------------

Guys, it can be done, I've done it. I have convinced entire classes and teachers that the laws against steroids are unfair. EVERYONE I have had a discussion about juice with has either changed their mind or at least admitted that they are like anything else we enjoy that requires responsability. ------------------

Interesting discussion...I read once, in a treatise on a different social dilemma, something to the effect that, if a million people could find it within themselves to rationally discuss that particular personal dilemma with just one friend or family member, it would do a million times more good than a million people marching down the mall in Wasnington. So, sure AS are currently illegal, but I imagine at least 85% of users are just normal guys living normal lives in every other way (just larger than most..Just about your average normal bell curve of any group. Where is the crime in this picture?...the 15% of the extremists out side the curve...abusers, dealing with minors, and such. Public ignorance of any topic is what causes most everything to get wrapped around the axle...just my opinion.

Someone mentioned smoking...does anyone know what causes more poisonings than any other drug???? It's Acetaminophen (Tylenol). This is because of the extremely high pharmaceutical ratio which, correct me if I'm wrong, is the ratio between the effective dosage and the toxic dosage. Has anyone ever thought about how much juice you would have to ingest/inject to be a toxic dosage? I think studies would show that regular high dose Tylenol users do more long term damage to their liver than moderate juicers do...just my hunch. Roids aren't banned because they are dangerous. They are banned because little guys don't like big guys....It's the primitive fear of getting your ass kicked or getting your girl stolen. Modern women don't like primitive symbols of power...physical power. In a society that values brains over brawn, women do a lot better job of competing. It's like old metaphor about crabs in a bucket. If they just left each other alone, most of 'em would get out, but instead, every time one looks like he's gonna make it, the rest grab on and pull him back. In the end, it's easier to hold someone else back than elevate yourself.

Zeke, I like your analogy. Bojackson3434, Thanks for the info from steroidlaw.com Swollen, You first need to admit that you do steroids to defend them effectively. I think most people arent ready to deal with the stigma attached to steroid use and martyr themselves for a cause, which might not change in their lifetime. ------------------ Great Information on Injections and Syringes
