I am doing a back routine that looks like this: 2sets wide grip pullups/incline fys, 2sets barbell rows/flat bench,2 sets machine rows/machine incline press, 2 sets cable rows/cable flys. I warm up 1 set before each different superset.
I literally almost puked 2 weeks in a row. It feels like acid is attacking my stomach and i get a deep burn in my throat along with dissiness! I eat one and half hours before the gym...anyone have this experience with this superset? If u have tried chest and back let me know how u have superseted it (u would help me a lot.

hey, what are your rest intervals? are you training heavy or reps? is it just on chest and back days?
what are you taking? i train pretty heavy most of the time, but i do rep work to change up periodically. give me some details on rest and type of weight, reps etc.

MIke and think big : I am on tribulus, glutamine, methoxygen, adipo kintex?guggles and that is it! All natural now for the time. I don't rest from back to chest but inbetween BAck/chest sets i rest 3mins. I get more out of breath doing this than cardio! I shoot for 11-13 reps for back and 10 reps each time for chest.

i do a superset routine comparable to what most fitness models do. 4 diff back/chest exercises with no rest during each superset.just between the supersets....it's a kick ass workout, tough for alot to do...but my body type seems to respond better to it as far as being lean...i often drop set during each superset to get both heavy, medium and light weights in....it's a lot of cardio...so maybe that's why your not used to it?

well, i'd say drop the adipo kinetix, if your doing supersets like that, then your heart rate is already high enough, and adipo is pretty amped shit for a fat burner. it will naturally make you jittery anyway, so drop it for a while to see if you stop feeling nauseous. i dont do supersets so i don't really know the efx, but i know that i never did like thermos, they always made me feel shitty during workouts. i'd say drop it for a while and see how you feel.

THinkbig , thankyou very much for bringing that to my attention. U very much could be right. that thought entered my mind today and i forgot to write it in the post. I will drop the adipo for that day because my heart really races when i do those sets. I can see me getting my heart rate up just by doing those exercises alone without the adipo. Thanks thinkbig. Bro's , any other ideas.

IS, I also get the pukey feeling if I eat too close to working out when on any fat burners / stimulants etc.

I try to eat very little when on those products - at least before working out - lots of water and maybe a protein drink (I throw some other stuff like oil in the drink)... instead of food.

Sometimes I find a good warmup on the bike and extra rest between sets helps.

Another thing to keep in mind when training is to dress cool. I'm not talking about looking like Mr. Studmuffin in the gym, i'm talking about dressing to keep your body temperature down as much as possible. I normally wear a thin plain t-shirt and pair of shorts when I train. Yes, even in the dead of winter cause my gym always kicks the heat on.

When your body becomes overheated while training, that could easily cause you to feel nauseous.

Scrap those thick ass sweatshirts and sweatpants and wear some thin shirts and shorts. If you're training hard enough, you'll get warmed up very quickly. For those gym owners in here, TURN DOWN THE DAMN HEAT!!! KEEP IT COOL!!! Would you rather turn down the heat and save on heating bills or be moping up someones vomit!

I use the chest-back (rowing)superset thing alot (also do it with delts/lats) and bis/tris. You don't need to do the sets immediatly after each other. I rest about one and a half minuites between each movement. This will let you handle heavier weights (you get good neural drive from working antagonistic muscle groups together). The first pairing of lifts I actually do in the 6-3 rep range for 4 sets, the next 8-10 for 2-3 sets, the last 12-20 for 1-2 sets.

Hugegetts . please elaborate on your workout. U said u do the first superset in the rep range of 6-3 ? And for the next three sets of the same exercise u go for more reps? Why do u do this?
Also , i would like to know why u don't jump directly into chest after the back set. U wait 1 and a half mins.? I hope i am understanding u correctly....please give explanations for your way of training this way? It's better u help me here then on email so everyone who is interested can learn. thanx.

It's possible you're building up lactic acid too fast, which causes nausea. Try to rest about 30 seconds between chest and back exercises, the rest between supersets looks pretty good. That along with discontinuing the adipo should take care of the problem. Good luck bro.

Man, your not a fucking pussy. I have seen your pics and you are a prime example of good genetics and hard work. Give yourself a break.

Now, on to the topic. Honestly, if you feel like your gonna puke, just go ahead and get if over with. I puke every single time i workout my legs, and the reason, is because i work them so hard i can't bear it anymore. I can hardly walk out of the gym, and last night, one of my buddies had to walk me to my car because i killed my calves so hard. So, your not a pussy, and all your doing is working your ass off to build the body of your dreams. Now kick ass and take names. And go puke if need be!

I'm sure that it is the Adipo. The first time I tried it I took two and went to the gym. Just about puked. I find that it really makes my stomach upset.

I WOULD DROP THE ADIPO FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS BRO AND SEE IF THAT HELPS. I GET THAT FEELING WHEN I TAKE E/C/A BEFORE A WORKOUT. SOMETIMES DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR HEART IS GOING TO JUMP OUT OF YOUR CHEST? I GET THAT ALOT WHEN ON E/C/A. ALSO ANOTHER QUESTION, I SAW YOUR PICS AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU PUT ALOT OF HARD WORK IN TO IT. I WAS JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHAT CYCLES YOU HAVE DONE BEFORE AND WHAT WAS THE MOST RECENT ? I AM PLANNING A CUTING CYCLE FOR THE SUMMER AND LOOKING FOR SOME IDEAS. HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE. GOOD LUCK BRO

I do the the first pairing heavy, since I'm fresh and can handle more weight. I use a narrow pyramid (654) or wave loading (6,4,2,4,2). After that I don't need to warmup for the other supersets because the weights are lighter. I do this so I can optimally hit fast-twitch fibers hard, since I train for an explosive sport. What I follow is sort-of a cross between a Charles Poliquin and Ian King workout (from when t-mag used to be good).

here is a simular workout
http://t-mag.com/html/body_93super.html

and some stuff on the fast-twitch and antagonistic superset training
http://t-mag.com/html/8simpl.html

The symptoms you describe are characteristic of overexcitation of the CNS. (Nausea, Vomiting, Anxiety, Dizziness, Confusion) A heavy workout speeds up the CNS a good bit so the problems you are having are almost definitely coming from the stimulant (Kinetix?) that you are taking. This isn't a particularly safe combination as rarely the additive strain has caused strokes and heart attacks in some people. Ephedrine seems to be the worst offender. Quitting the stimulant supplement should take care of the problem. If not, you should go to a doctor because you might be suffering from hypertension.

The workouts aren't that bad. You have to go to the gym when it is pretty empty though, or someone always takes the equipment you aren't on at the moment.

I did the whole Ian King program (there are 4 phases which are linked in the t-mag faq)), and while my bench repping weight went up by 25lbs and my chest measurement went up by 2.5 inches, my upper chest and arms started to lag behind. It isn't the most balanced program in that respect...I can do easy reps with three plates now (at 190) so I won't complain
