for the last 3 or so weeks every time I do leg workouts my lower back gets very tight and aches like hell. It seems as if I strain it when doing squats, but then it doesnt go away. It aches like hell when I do leg presses and cant bring the weight down very low without feeling a tight pull in my lower back muscles.

I'm about to go to the gym in a few hours to do legs and wanted to hear what you guys think. I think I'm going to stay away from squats today and just do leg presses, hack squats, extensions and curls. I think I also may rub some bengay on and take an asprin or something before going.

Also, to make things worse my legs have been tighter than usual during the workouts. not really the muscle but like tendons. For example on the outside of the quad, right below before the sweep in your quad, right to the side of your kneecap has been tight for like 3 weeks even when I'm not workingout. I stretch, and stretch through the workout cause it gets tight. What should I do about that?

Thanks for any help guys.

You either have a low back injury, tight hams, or both. Give the low back a break and do more stretching. Do bodyweight hyperextention for your low back and stay away from free bar squats and deadlifts for about 6 weeks. It sounds like a long time, I know, but if you don't take care of it now you'll wish you did.

thanks perfectrep. I will stay away from squats for awhile. Also I havent done hyperextensions for a long time, so that would be a very good idea to help strenghten my lower back and also to warm up before working legs.

Listen to Perfect Rep, don't ruin your back like I did many years ago from being hardheaded. Back off to allow recovery, stretch the hams daily, keep the abs strong and hit the hypers to pump blood into the low back. I also hang from the chin bar to stretch between sets of squats and deads. Take care bro

The d-bol is causing the tightnes in your lower back. It should usually go away in 10-15 minutes after the workout. Sometimes it will become so painful that you will not be able to move...but it is usually not damaging.

What you have described seems to be more than just d-bol tightness so I would take perfectrep's advice and ease off for two weeks and re-evaluate the situation then.

You will probably do some chronic damage to your knees during cycles since the water retention will not permit you to feel the damage being done to your knee cap and cartilage. It should go away with time and treatment with glucosamine and chndroiton.

I agree totally, its the dball. My pet cow had the same feeling in her back too when she was on 40 mgs per week. It went away when i stopped giving it to her at that high of a dose.later, be safe.
