I came off a bulking cycle in december. I have been on a keto diet for the last 2 weeks and i've lost about 10 lb. I am planning a cutting cycle in April (EQ/Win/T3/ECA).

I'm still looking to gradually get as lean as possible before I hit the cutting cycle in April. I currently do about 30 mins cardio 3 times a week and I lift 4 days a week.

1. Approx how many calories should I be eating?

2. How long can I do the keto for without entering a catabolic state? Would CKD be safer?

3. Any other suggestions?

Here are my stats:
6'1" 210 lb (approx 18% bodyfat)

Thanks in advance for any help.

1.That's something you should know and only you can know as only you know how to operate your body. Personaly I eat 14x my body wekght in calories for cutting. So for you at 210x12=2940. That is only a rough idea but it hits my metabolic needs right on the money so I am able to loose weight at a safe pace and preserve muscle mass.

2.I would have never started one to begin with. If your dieting by using more clories than you are consuming then your body is in a catabolic regardless of diet type. I have never looked worse than when I did a ketonic diet and the results were awfull. I loose fat and preserve muslce much better with ample carbs in my diet so I can't tell you if a ckd would be better but since you are consuming carbs a couple days then I would say yes, a ckd would be a better option.
3. Drop the keto diet and eat a balanced diet. Much more effective and much healthier.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to "taper" up my carbs slowly by moving to a CKD for 2 weeks and then back to a balanced diet.
