Am I going to have to try and raise it during a cycle? I eat all this 100% clean now and it's tough. I basically spend my entire afternoon after a workout in the damn kitchen making food for now or tommorrow. I guess during my cycle I won't eat completely clean but... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If your really eating that many clean cals your doing good! Frack how much do you weigh again? and are you putting on any fat with that high of cals? You should be good with those calories, and maybe try and throw in a couple not-so-clean meals a week for added calories - just make sure they are high in protein. ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yep. I weigh a little less than 190, I am starting to be able to add more exercises into my regime now, and I'm going to get back to my previous pre-injury weight before I start a cycle. Here's the diet if you are curious: 1. 1000 cal complex carb protein powder shake Total= 6000. I really have difficulty putting on weight of any kind. I still have abs, all 6 in the morning when I'm not holding a lot of water. The reason I upped it this high is because the month of January I ate 4,500 - 5000 cals and gained less than one lbs. So even if I burn 5000 cals/day I still can potentially gain 8 lbs this month with this diet. Not that I will but... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi Frackal, once had the same problem. It really is very simple. If you have no underlying issues then the reason why you aint growing is because you are not eating enough. Perhaps add another meal in there (possible wake up in the night and down a protein shake, maybe containing small amount of fat to slow digestion down and possible some slower acting form of protein such as soy). Not too much soy though for obvious reasons. How much is your total protein intake on average / day? ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]()

Eating 6000 clean calories is damn tough to do. I try to eat clean most of the time but during a cycle I don't shy away from pizza, cheeseburgers and KFC. Eating junk food is not something I want to do all the time but during a cycle I want to put on as much weight as possible. So I'll add junk food/fast food at least once a day to add some additional calories. Gaining some fat is a part of the game while bulking so I don't avoid it. I'll lose the fat after the cycle is finished and start eating clean again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I notice that you're getting 2500 calories from shakes. I like MRPs and protien shakes as much as the next guy, but I've found that the difference in gains between 3500 cals of whole foods and 5000 cals (the extra in shakes) really wasn't that different. My advice would be to put more whole foods in there, even if you have to reduce the total calorie count a little. I like shakes, too, but they're never more than 1000 cals of my diet. Anyway, its just a thought. Good luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

What do you use for complex carbs in your shakes? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Latona: That's true, however, the shakes are nescessary in their respective times. The first shake is important because it gives a large burst of protein and carbs to re-ignite anabolism and stop catabolism after waking. The second shake is because I can't workout well on a full stomach, but I need the carbs. The 3rd shake is postworkout, and well.. Slowmo: I use twinlab's "Ultra Fuel" containing maltodextrin, a powdered carb made from rice. I know I will grow with this diet, but I'm worried about upping it even more while on gear, but I planned it so I'd have a lot of freetime so I will aim for 7000 cals/day. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
