After posing for the overall last year I came off stage dehydrated as hell from the 15 pounds of water I had dropped the day before. I killed a whole half gallon of water right then. Later, I ate all kinds of crap from pizza to ice cream. About a day and a half later after "the rebound effect", I had gained almost 30 pounds and was swollen as hell. I felt huge and loved it except for my abs being shot to hell and my feet being so swollen that I could barely get my shoes on(former competitors know what I'm talking about). I had to go on a semi-diet again and get the water off though because my blood pressure was getting risky. I just wondered what some of the poundages others had gained????Any other stories welcome too. ------------------

Nah thats some cool shit to hear. I wish I did contests. 30lbs I can beleive that. It must be hard to keep up such concentration on stage while your about to fall over from dehydration. Any other cool things about comp.?

I got tired of explaining why I looked so different than I did just a few days before. I guess it is freaky to see someone at 170 when the weekend starts and then see them again on Monday at over 200. ------------------

I have a friend that went from 255 to 303 in 6 days after a contest 2 years ago. He couldn't tie his shoes or put his socks for that matter.

never pig out after a show. period. i can't count the number of guys I have pulled awya from the pizza joint the night after a show. I always have a diet plan for them up to the show and then the most important, three weeks after the show. just eating any dairy will be pain in the gut. but I bet you will not pig out after next show!

Boulder...I had a friend who said that they saw you compete a while back in TN. Said that you lost to a black guy...named Derek. He also said you should have won, by a landslide. Opinions? Would like to see some contest pics man...post em. B True

I did post some pics a while back. Yea, I won my class and lost the overall. A lot of people said I looked better than him, but he was a heavyweight and I was a middleweight. ------------------

I live in Western Kentucky. I know Derek...and basically do not care for him. I train for strongman contests and trained for bodybuilding prior to this. I used to work out when he did and if he wasn't blessed with what God gave him...then his sissy work outs would leave him built like a little girl. Just my opinion. Can you point me to those pics sometime. My friend saw the pics from the contest on some site. Thanks B True |
