I hear about this stuff ( Arimidex ), it's the shit everyone says! So i reseach it and i can see why it would be good to take while on gear. Keeps estorgan low, so you have more test in your system...SOUNDS GREAT! So people need some estorgan in them to make the gear work so take 1/4 to 1/2 tab eod, right? But then i hear about people not making gains on their cycle like they should so people tell them to drop the Arimidex. So what is the deal with the stuff, i was going to use it next cycle, what do you guys think?     | ||

Shawn I noticed in your cycle you are on 1000mgs of test every week, 500mgs of eq every week and 50mgs of dianabol every day. It is not the armidex that is preventing you from growing. Either you have bunk gear or your supplier unintentionally gave you some fake stuff. ------------------ | ||

I have used it many times in the past, including right now. I don't believe that it will hinder your gains during a cycle, but it will keep the water retention low. Therefore, it may seem that you aren't gaining as much as you should. It's just water, and you're gonna lose it all after the cycle is over with anyway. So, I like to use arimidex, because I barely lose anything post-cycle. I'm sure that others will disagree strongly(water helps produce gains & so on) but I hate looking & feeling bloated with tons of water. It's kinda just my own personal preference. ------------------ | ||

'ORCHITIS' has put my thoughts into words perfectly. It only reduces 80% of the estrogen so it leaves enough for gains but not water, see ya when the cycles over, gains. I have been using it for 3 months and have keep most of the water off. ------------------ | ||

If you consider water bloat gains then yes, it will hinder "gains". Shawn...I would venture to guess you got fake gear if it is week three and you are on a gram of test and 50mg of dbol a day and it has yet to affect you in any way. I somehow doubt it's the armidex. | ||

Hey ulter, I have been using it for a couple of months now also. I have been curious as to how liver toxic it is, but I have never heard or seen anything bad about it in this regard. Do you, or anyone else happen to know? I have heard that it's not bad, but I use it so often that I'd like to know for sure....ya know. ------------------ | ||

Heptatic metabolism accounts for approx 85% of elimination. No changes in dose are recommended for patients with mild-moderate heptatic impairment. This is paraphrased from the doseage and administration in their prescribing information. If they aren't recommending a lower dose for patients with liver damage I imagine it can't be very liver toxic. ------------------ | ||

Ulter, your figure of 80% estrogen elimination w/ regards to Arimidex is incorrect. During phase II and Phase III trials, Arimidex at a dose of 1mg/day, suppressed 98% of estrogen within 48 hours. Godspeed [This message has been edited by Fonz (edited February 04, 2001).] | ||

Thanks for the replies Bros! Ok it keeps the water off while on a cycle, if it keeps estorgan low does this mean more test in your system witch = more strenght & size? | ||

I don't know who the subjects were in the clinical trials, but I am willing to bet that they weren't testosterone abusing bodybuilders...like me  . I have no idea what the exact numbers are but it is academic in any case. Take what you need. Trial and error works best for me. | ||

FONZ, You should look more closely at those figures. 98% reduction of aromatase activity in the tissue specific sites that arimidex targets. This is not a measure of systemic Estrogen reduction. ------------------ | ||
