That's some sad sh*t, I honestly figured it was a hoax when I saw it on the Chat board... I've got to be a cynic, though, and ask how the f*ck he died in his sleep, I've got to wonder how much sh*t that dude was really on... That worries me BIGTIME! ------------------

quote: Get A Clue. I doubt you even knew the man. A man dies and all you can do is blurt out the first thing that comes into your head. I very much doubt not only the fact that you didnt know him but also you wouldnt believe the number of people he has gone out of his way for. I quote of a fellow friend of his what he had to say about the bad news. (taken off his website) "Today is a black day indeed. I am writing this from the heart in true Paul Borresen fashion. I am very sorry to announce that yesterday, Paul Borresen died aged only 38, in his sleep, whilst at home. It has got to be said, that not just bodybuilding, but the world will just not be the same without him. Paul was a big man, with a big heart, in fact the most generous man I had the fortune to meet. He would of at -50 degrees given the shirt of his own back to anybody whom asked. He was an extremely dedicated family man and extremely dedicated in his work to help other people. His family and bodybuilding were the loves of his life. If everybody was to be just 100th of the man Paul Borresen was, the world would be a far better place. B1 you have left me in the tank alone..." ------------------ [This message has been edited by The_Iron_Game (edited February 01, 2001).]

That is sad, 38 is too young, I didn't agree with many of his theories, but I will say this he pushed the envolpe and for that he will have my respect.

The connection between Pauls untimely death and his methods have not been substantiated, and I think calling a man you probably didnt even know or understand an idiot the day after his death is fucking disrespectful! Yes, I agree that his methods where unorthodox and not for most people, but these where not kamikaze cycles with no research or understanding behind them. Pauls theories where his lifes work, for which we will all benefit from in the long run. Peace

First of all Never speak ill of the dead. Secondly Paul's mega dose ideas are nothing out of the ordinary for any Pro bodybuilder. So if you are calling him an idiot then you are basically calling Sonbaty, Priest, Ray, Yates, Coleman and every other pro bodybuilder who has every stepped on the Olympia stage an Idiot. He was probably the only person in bodybuilding not to kiss ass, but to tell it like it is. I heard from a pro bodybuilder that N****r ** S*****y said he would kill him if he ever met him in America. So obviously a lot of pro bodybuilders did not like him running round telling everyone how much drugs they were taking. |
